Recently got into this after being pestered by my mate. Was always put off by the sheer amount of episodes but now wonder why i waited so long. Genuinely hilarious on a regular basis. So far not as good plot/action/power wise as naruto/bleach but the characters are just as good, plus I hear it keeps getting better and better from hereon in. Am only on episode 155 (out of 450?) so have a long way to go.

i thought it was great but it finished just when it felt like it was getting started. i hear the manga is even better, probably because the story carries on further. will have to read it one day. what makes it the best ever though? it lacks a lot i reckon.

Evangelion... that anime just weirded me out. Currently I am catching up on Naruto shippuden. On the account of not watching it for a year.

Last year I really loved Hajime no Ippo: New Challenger... Gave me great joy and encouragement to train properly.

Grand, i know you know what happens and all so we don't need to go into that, but you have a lot of shippuuden anime to enjoy even though you know how it's all gonna go. Oh, and the last two eps have been like :o :o :o
Naruto just proves time and time again why it's the best ongoing weekly anime series with the way it hits on so many levels.

Yeah I am throuroughly impressed with what I have seen so far. The last thing I watched was Hidan getting killed by a completely new naruto. Since I know what's coming it won't be much of a surprise but I do like the little bits that are added into the anime that add that tad bit of substance. Naruto is definitely one of the best series I have had the pleasure of watching. It is almost as if we are growing with him.... however it like bleach must be coming to an end real soon... there's only so much left to discuss and only so many more people that need to get lenged down.

Grand, it's true that both Naruto and Bleach must be coming to their ends in the next year or two, a shame, because you're right, it has been like growing up with them in a way. I started in about late 2004 i think, so although that's recent history, it's still a damn long time to be following the highs and lows of the characters.

I take it that where you're at on the anime you've seen the shikamaru ep with the funeral and everything. That was truly one of the greatest pieces of anime I've ever seen. The composition, the atmopshere, music, animation, everything about it was turned up to 11.

Von, very long time mang. Good to have you and Grandle postin up in here again. It's been lackin in any dialogue for a while. Surprised you haven't ever seen Samurai Champloo. Def a classic. Put up your list and I'll let you know if there's anything I think is next level.

Cow boy bebop is my one true anime. It's the only anime I have continued to watch since 2002, nothing is better than putting on episode 1 Asteroid blues.. sipping on a cold drink and watching during the twilight hours of the morning. I loved the last episode as well equilibrium eat your heart out. Been thinking about reading the manga, however I heard it isn't based on the TV series at all. So I am not entirely sure that i'll go down that path.

Spike.. the man who already died... definitely a series to watch.

I would also like to recommend Full Metal alchemist; don't be deceived by is childish looks.. it's truly a gut wrenching adrenaline fueled anime. I would also like to mention Noein.. I didn't finish all the episodes but it was an interesting series with some great animation,; definitely ahead of it's time. I would like to finish of with this one last thing, be careful of Ghost in the Shell. it gave my ex a Fit...

end

its all about full metal alchemist:brotherhood.

awesome.

The last episode of Naruto was the best one ever action wise imo.

Watched the first ep of High School of the Dead the other day, a good action based zombie one.
