I'm struggling against the urge to say 'what the fuck are you doing to a classic track, this is never going to work', as it's a lot closer to working than it has any right to be.
Sonically, the snares (especially the big ones) are getting in the way of the vocals, Thom's voice is thin and can't compete against all that punch. I'd look for a more clicky garage type snare or two, and experiment with panning them away from the centre, where the vocal is. Also, the wobble seems stuck on one note and one speed when it could be following the melody and giving a real push to the track. Thom is giving an angsty, on the verge of a nervous breakdown performance, and the static wobble is fighting against that when it could be adding to it.
