my favorite reverb plug

Post by Sharmaji »

is actually a compressor.

The Sonalksis TBK3. usually it's $150, but it's on sale w/ the other 2 'creative' plugs as a bundle for 99 euros-- about $130. just put the code JULYREMIX in your order bin.

If you're not sure about what compression is or does, then this plug isn't the one to teach you. but HOLY SHIT... this sucker is amazing. been using it on drums, leads... tons of stuff lately and glad to see it's gotten more affordable (sucks for me though). can either crush or over-accentuate transients, and bring up natural decay like almost nothing else i've heard in software.

Been using this compressor for a while... and usually, not for normal compression. It is the "ACT" in charACTer.... so fucking brilliant. It simply shows you all the sounds you didn't even know were in the sounds you had in the first place.

I'll check it. I have nothing but the bare necessities loaded up right now but some new rev and comp would be nice.

Hmm really like the TBK filter, first decent filter IMO and still stands up well now.

Not looked at other two.

The creative bundle is filled with gems

TBK1 Filter - one of th best software filters imo
TBK2 Bitcrusher - Filthy, in a good way
TBK3 Compressor - as mentioned...

absolutely-- as does the free logic jawn. the hardware spl one has really nice overdrive characteristics as well.... meaty.

though it doesn't involve as much of the sonic punch-in-the-balls-before-a-BJ hissy SMACK as this one.

a very specific tool, but a useful one nonetheless.

shit i should start putting one, automatable, on my master channel for DJ sets--- song song song SMACK song song song...

Just downloaded the demo. Woah, this thing is brutal. Might pick it up as part of that pack.
