Is there a demo version of Logic available?

You don't even NEED logic pro either. Logic express has ALMOST everything that pro has. You get plenty of instruments, effects and all that in express. I think Main Stage, a synth or 2, and a few of the better compressors and reverbs are left out. And some sort of CD authoring tool. Pro is worth the $, but so is Express if you can't afford the full version.

i prefer to run parallels, so you can run windows and snow leopard at the same time. rebooting your comp is so 08

I have logic too, and it is better, but sometimes its fun to work within the constraints of a simple system :D
