Since the late 80’s Krafty Kuts, a.k.a Martin Reeves, has been one of the world’s best-known purveyors of breakbeats and old-skool hip-hop. Hailing from Brighton, he moved from running a record shop to running around the world as he DJs internationally while producing a vast number of mixed albums and original material, including “Freakshow”, released on his label Against The Grain. He also started the best breakbeat night in the country with Skool of Thought… SuperCharged @ Audio every wednesday brighton uk. DJs at the night now play the best beats and bass music, from drum n bass to dubstep, turntablism to breaks.

They aren’t evil and there are only two of them, but other than not living up to their randomly chosen yet aesthetically pleasing name Tom Beaufoy and Pat Pardy in no way disappoint. That’s if you are into a distinctly individual sound that defies categorization and has delivered both cerebral stimulation and dancefloor satisfaction with every release so far.
Deriving their musical flavour from multiple influences - hip-hop, punk, electro, dancehall, post punk, garage rock, techno and krautrock just to name a few - they create an original minimalism packed with emotive ability.
Collaborations have included work with Aesop Rock (Definitive Jux), Juice Aleem (new flesh/Shadowless) and Toastie Taylor (new flesh) for the album You Can Be Special Too. Intended for both club and home listening it reflects Pat and Tom’s heavy hip-hop and rock influences, as well as their aim to soulfully resonate with wider appeal.
With Tom on turntables and Pat on Laptop, shows have drawn crowds of up to 7,000 in the United States, Australia, Europe, Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand, China and many more. They are residents at the renowned Fabric nightclub in London and have recently released a “Fabric Live” compilation for the club to critical acclaim which displays their ability to mash up styles and keep things fresh.

AC SLATER

AC Slater, hailing from Philadelphia but now residing in New York City, was one of the biggest american hardcore and freeform DJs. In 2001 started the Pitched Up record label as an outlet for american hardcore music. The label saw 5 vinyl releases and 10 digital releases.
In 2007 AC Slater moved away from hardcore and raves to focus on fidget house, getting commissioned to do remixes for artists such as Freestylers, Moby, Shwayze, Human Resource, and Drop the Lime.
Recently started the label Party Like Us....he has continued to produce big things.
