flux runs a label and has consistently popular releases. granted, it's not to everyone's taste but there's no denying his talent.
point is, by constantly calling him out it makes you sound like a jealous loser.

straight honesty the track in your sig sounds really really unfinished and quite formulaic at that

"experimental" is completely subjective and maybe it's an experiment to you but that track is boring and not fresh in any way.. on some ho hum flex

i aint exactly angry, i think its funny how much people are bumming flux in this thread!
i heard his remix of the song cracks and was like omg, what a shit bassline, seriously this guy creates some dirty shit like fuckin noise then makes the cheesiest bassline in cracks, im like wtf?
and yah i think my tune exposition has quite a funky unique bassline, and isnt as repetitive and cheesy as most comercial mainstream dubstep

"oh man...firstly, people need stop goin about true dubstep. Dubstep is an experimental and free form genre and newbie fucks who get a boner over the simplest wobble can't hack the fact that there's more to the sound than that.
Two; This is around 140 bpm, has a deep sub bassline and has a half step rhythm. If dubstep were to be pegieon holed by anything it would be by these these three elements.
This track has all three n then some"

qouted from groovekiller on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1nko_aTr ... re=related
and alot of people agreed
yet i think almost everyone has disagreed with me when i said dubstep is an experimental genre
i think u guys are conforming to other peoples opinions to be in the majority
id rather be an outcast if u think cracks by flux is dubstep but my tune is shit

I was talking about sketchy not you mate. I really rate Flux as a dj but his tunes are a bit too jump-up for me, getting very predictable as you say. Point is, you probably would have got some decent feedback without such a strange load of opening posts.

I don't think anyone here thinks experimental means the same as you do, it's nothing to do with Flux Pavilion.

it's not a case of conforming, you're treating music as an objective subject.
it's not, people like different stuff. get over it.
re: being super experimental- it's pretty obvious flux pavilions stuff is made for the dancefloor, writing a 20 minute long, atonal, 5/4 piece wouldn't be appropriate.

also, this:

no, we were disagreeing that your track was experimental... but then again, that's a pretty subjective term. so maybe your tune sounds experimental to you and that's cool. tbh, i haven't heard much flux pavilion. i'm kind of on a different tip

i do agree with you that the only "rules are": 140bpm + sub bass, but even those rules have slowly begun to disappear...

i can see what you're trying to do but it just sounds really cheap :/ you need more fx, reverbs, delays, chorusing... that kind of this to let your tune breathe..

Isn't all electronic music supposed to be experimental?
