With 'Releases' Vol.1&2 coming out on CD earlier in the year I knew this day wouldn't be far off. Fair play to Mala though for keeping it strictly vinyl for so long. :Q:

Good on them. All it's going to do is make artists and their tunes more accessible which is what they deserve. Moaners.

as much as i have a personal liking to the pure vinyl ethos thats promoted by deep medi, it makes sense to eventually put releases out onto other platforms simply because not everyone has the equipment to play vinyl.

Considering that every single vinyl release has leaked and I'm sure that waste DJ's have played those rips I'm not sure how this makes them any less exclusive. Personally I am glad to have the additional option of digital tracks to bump in the car to.

I'm fairly sure that DMZ will remain pure vinyl still.

Mala is releasing the music of so many different people now I'd imagine the decision has come from wanting to maximise the sales for the people creating the music.
I don't turn on Korn to get it on, I be playin Digi Mystikz 'til the dawn

Fair play. Widens their market but Mala being who he is won't allow the quality of musical output to reduce. Can't see a problem with that.

Hahaha, quality news! Tbh I was gutted at the prospect of not getting to own Smooth Skin this summer, now I can have it.

I know this is a can of worms, but is it not better for more people to have access to the music? Less incentive for people to download vinyl only tunes for free? Open up the market? It's not like it's become digital only, so tbh I don't see what the whining is all about.

It's a sunny day, and I'm bumping Smooth Skin - you should too 8)

EDIT: PRE-ORDER FFFFFFF-

Would it open up their music to piracy though? Obviously I'm aware that people can rip MP3s from a vinyl, but surely this would just augment the problem.

We'll just see loads of wasters on YouTube posting tunes with fucking download links.

Making music more accessable is defo not a bad thing, it's just what those people do with it.

i think this is good news personally.

do you think in keeping with Mala's ethos of good quality tunes were likely to see FLAC releases?
