Post by *grand* » Fri Jul 23, 2010 11:55 am

It's been sometime since I have had this discussion I a place that allows for jest. I just would like to k ow whether you are a mac or pc guy or girl and if so why? I most certainly am a Mac guy he'll I reply to most threads on this forum using my iPad and own 3 other apple based products. I guess I just like the look and feeling of the latest tech... I am a sucker for it... And he fact that I get them insured for three years for forty quid..

I run PCs. They're cheaper, and easier to get software for. Although if I could afford Macs I'd probably use them.

Mac but mainly because of the OS which is infinitely nicer to use. I use Windows at work and hate it with a passion.
Also they look better 8)

BOTH + Linux

Build a Hackintosh

twice the performance, half the price

currently triple booting Windows 7, OS X Snow Leopard, and Fedora 12

to be brutally honest, I think anyone who buys a Mac is somewhat of an idiot. Nothing personal, i just think it's foolish to buy a massively overpriced product that's really nothing special. just build a Hackintosh for fuck's sake. like i said, twice the performance, half the price (easily). And I'm definitely not an Apple hater, I've owned every generation iPhone as well as an iPad, so please don't see me as one.

If I had to choose though, I'd definitely build a PC though. You can just do tons more shit on a PC

hmm yeah true but for data, coding, excel etc.. It'd be jarring on a mac.

plus gaming PCs...

yeah i used to agree with you i ran osx86 on an old pc. I needed a laptop i could run xcode on though that was reasonably specced and didnt look like shit and wouldn't fall apart in a year. So the mbp was a no brainer....also it looks great...did i mention it looks great.....its probably the only apple machine i'd buy, maybe an imac.

got the faster 13" one, I use it for serato so didn't want a huge one but it's still powerful enough and I've got it hooked up to my monitor

nice one on the i7, very envious!
