I'm getting my first Macbook in october, the OS is just so much nicer and I think the lack of real virus' is a HUGE plus. They aren't all that different though some people exaggerate way too much.

Obviously you want something that performs well but having a computer which looks so damn good and feels so good to use is great.

Don't care which to be honest, totally interchangeable

Can't hack the slimey allegiance a load of nerds have falsley pledged with Macintosh's though, though is funny seeing how many goons have been pushed into the rat race for "the best"

If your a tech geek then you won't really have a problem upgrading your mac, the tnuc's are a little bit harder to open up but apart from that you can change the part's so long as they're compatible with the MAC logic board without too much trouble. Just most people insure there mac so when it break's they just go to an apple store and get them to replace the part. How many of you guys bought insurance with your PC? seldom do so when it breaks what to replace is a conscious decision that falls on us, and we tend to replace that part with a more later updated version.

That was my setup before, it's a little swankier now...

Once you go Mac you never go back (this only applies to single OS users though obviously).

Only thing made by apple that I'd buy would be a mac book. I don't really hate mac but I've been on "pc" for years and it's never done me wrong. I like building my computer from the ground up and easily being able to figure out the problem if any arise and be able to replace it myself.

If I ever get a laptop it will more than likely be a mac though because it would primarily be for music and I'm very interested in Logic.

I use both, my desktop is for games and pissing about with warez and pirated films / music so for ease I use Windows 7. Everything else I use my macs for, ideally I'd like Windows to be as good as Apple's OS and HW... but I like the updates and the choice to upgrade individual components! Linux IMHO is for geeks, neophiles, twats and other internet flotsam.

I've had a macbook for three years, and I haven't had many problems at all. That being said, I'm about to switch back to PC, mostly for more sorting options. Macs are shit for user-friendly organization, imo.
hey, you wouldn't hire a clown to fix a leak in the john..so why do you let these hooligans tear down the biz?

If I could, I would go both, Macs are so much more welcoming.
PCs are like a love hate relationship, well with me.. its a constant game of "want it?... can't have it(mwahahaah)"

@Grand; I have those speakers.. Thats about it

When shit breaks (it never has) it's an opportunity to get that piece of equipment you wanted to get 6 months ago which was a bit out of your budget.

For me, it's all about performance. I just need to install a 64bit version of Vista to make use of my extra 5gb of RAM.
