Yeah, as above. I don't really care for picture discs, if my copy came through and was picture discs id store it and buy myself another one hoping for plain. I wouldnt try and buy a picture disc or loads of copies though, that's just silly and mean.

Pretty much this. And props to him for that, Although I don't have picture discs, I think it was a pretty incredible thing to do...esepcially on the sly! ha

If any of what that guy above said is to be true though...then Mala is a slyer customer than I'd even thought! ha
I don't turn on Korn to get it on, I be playin Digi Mystikz 'til the dawn

Probably true. I am not saying that everything was planned for the wrap and didn't want to show any disrespect to Mala. It's just that following the story from March I find the timeline very interesting and quite funny tbh. And I love the release by the way

they are white/colored vinyl ffs! ; )

there is a difference

They are 100 % picture disc. Its a clear vinyl with minimal design under. Each record has a different minimal design with different color dot and title. *geeking*

All of the rumours and scaremongering were created by forum trolls though. I can't say I saw anyone from ST or the DMZ camp creating it in a cynical way.

Of course. My comment was only meant to be taken as in an "academic" way, purely for its value as a lesson in "music business" these days.

I feel only respect and thankfulness for Mala and co.

Or maybe Mala just wanted to put out an L.P that felt special.

I think I must have been the only person disappointed with this.
Partly because it was only Mala, and no Coki.
Partly because there were only tracks, which isn't quite an EP.
Partly because quite a few of them were just old dubs they've been sitting on for years.
I dunno, it's probably just me.

I used to use the name Fake Cake, but now produce/DJ as Pedro Steez. The tunes on the soundcloud are only really muckarounds, I haven't put anything proper on there yet.

One more Friday gone past and still...
NOTHING IN THE POST.
Customs have got me VEXED.

If these ever show up, I'm not gonna play them... I'm going to have them for lunch. :x

If your disappointed then why? there were plenty of audio samples on nearly every website and plenty of these tracks on youtube, so if you didn't like the audio samples then why buy it?
Only Mala and no Coki? well it's not like they didn't tell you who the artist is, everyone knew these were Mala tracks so again why would you be disappointed?
"Partly because there were only tracks, which isn't quite an EP" This makes no sense
It's not like these old dubs have become stale, people still have a lot of love for these tracks,
Yes It's probably just you

I can sort of understand where he's coming from, I've anticipated having most of these tracks to death and now they're old for me. That doesn't take away from the quality of it though. I can't wait til I rediscover it :)

I believe all us on this forum should make a kind request to Mala & Crew for:

DMZLP002 Loefah
DMZLP003 Coki

:w:

more than enough dubs around :D
