For their upcoming night at The Bus, DISBOOT have cracked open a fresh can of cool, psychedelic soundwaves into Barcelona's pulsing summer, this time in the shape of London's SHORTSTUFF.
Along with his production peer Brackles, Shortstuff is changing the name of the club music game, referencing african rhythms, 90's rave anthems, UK Funky and mind-crunching 8bit sounds into his legendarily floor-heaving sessions. This maestro of future-primitive rave has seen his tracks championed by some of bass music's best, with releases on Planet Mu, Berkane Sol, Ramp Records and his own label, Blunted Robots. His tracks are infecting DJ sets the world over, and this time, we are priviliged to hear it straight from the man himself in his mammoth two hour throwdown for the first time here in Barcelona.
Joining the stereo invasion is long time Disboot collaborator Monksta. Coming from a background of stereo brutality as a member of the 'Day Of The Droids' breakcore collective, tonight he will unholster his current arsenal of bassline, brutal house and booty shaking subsonics. Running back to back with resident Disboot DJ Dr. Res, this night is so tight you couldn't slice a knife through it if you tried.
