Writer's block, working nights and a broken charger.
I'm currently receiving stress levels only previously realised by fighter pilots.
Working 10 hour shifts for a minimum of 8 days in a row. The pressure on us to win at the casino is insane and I'm not really sure it's worth £6 an hour to be honest. Which has led to a horrible lack of sleep.
I've been trying to produce but alas, I have been completely stuck. Which is probably to do with the 2 to 4 hours sleep I'm receiving.
And today I broke my fucking laptop charger, the only thing I had left.
So tell me forum, how the fuck can I re-ignite my creativity? How do I keep active with no production?

Don't force the issue and wait 'till you're well rested and in a better state of mind. Also stick some unfinished tunes you have on your iPod/whatever and give em a few listens away from the studio and take notes on how you could make them into tunes, tweak and change stuff. Also listen to some new music.

Just chill out, have a smoke, a drink, play some games, read a book etc. Theres no point in forcing yourself to make music it will only end up with you creating something that your not happy with which will piss you off even more.

It seems to be about making connections where there were none.
Creating things is making connections.
Go do what you've never done.
Look for connections where you have never looked before and don't let yourself be distracted by the mundane day to day particulars.

I'll check out the tunes on the phone. See if that helps before my laptop runs out of battery. Cheers everyone.

This is so true, don't push yourself. I was stuck in a block for months, I'm only just getting back onto the music!zonetrooper5 wrote:Just chill out, have a smoke, a drink, play some games, read a book etc. Theres no point in forcing yourself to make music it will only end up with you creating something that your not happy with which will piss you off even more.
