Open the sample in Edison, press F2, and at the bottom in the sampler section, press reset. Save, and it's fixed (for that sample) forever.

bro, i'm not sure that your threads really count as tutorials. more like convoluted questions and roundabout solutions.

If I was the queen, I'd knight you for that.

Got to respect the energy. Maybe increase the knowledge a wee bit.

I've noticed every now and then a percussion sample comes up at the wrong pitch. Just a matter of clicking the sample in the step sequencer, click "INS" then right click on C5 on the keyboard that comes up at the bottom.

Unless that's what you meant by not resetting the keynotes?
Or we're just talking about a completely different problem

and just cause im posting up noobish fix's/tuts dnt mean i am one ;)

as i said in most of the posts i would like to just spread the love =)

I pay post up sidechain compression in FL9 next =P
But your "tuts", while well intentioned, have not been helpful to anyone learning fl because you have recommended laborious processes to do what can be done in one or two simple steps. This reveals that you do not have a great deal of knowledge of fl. I appreciate the effort and the desire to contribute, but please learn your stuff better before you instruct.

In both of your other "tut" threads I posted the appropriate techniques that were significantly less intensive than your backward way of doing things. I've been answering any question I can regarding flstudio for years here, so check your attitude.

The reason Recessive said this:
Recessive Trait wrote:more like convoluted questions and roundabout solutions.
Is because your techniques are so uninformed it is obvious that you do not know much about flstudio, which in of itself is not a problem. The problem is that you are instructing people that know even less than you unnecessarily difficult techniques to solve simple problems.

In the past I've told people how to do things in fl, and I've made mistakes and been corrected, and thanked those who pointed out my mistakes rather than calling them bitches and trolls.

Again, for the third time, I appreciate your effort, just please know your shit a little better before you endeavor to instruct with authority.

I find the best solution to fixing drum samples (although not the quickest) is to re-record them.

Simply plug in your microphone and a pair of cheap headphones.

Play the sample through the headphones and record using the microphone (obvious, sorry).
(Note: If you have problems with interference or you have a draughty room, simply create your own sound booth using any large bin bag)

Oh this is so much easier then resetting your timestretch/pitch shift or octave parameters

Erm.. it's a lot easier. Minimal software use required. Most of the technique is hardware based. Once it's all plugged in then you don't need to unplug it again, do you?

Lemme get this straight...

Id micing up speakers, recording, transfering from recorder/sampler onto pc, opening a new fl sampler, importing new clip...

or right click on timestretch knob hit 'none' right click on pitch shift hit 'reset'

One of these is very elaborate and going to change the sound of the smaple, one is a simple 2 button process which will give you the original...

I dont wanna seem a dick denouncing your advice man but this seems REALLY backwards to me.
