late 70s Fender Strat

cramped messy desk. don't have much room behind me, so my guitar's neck extends out over my desk. something spooked me, and i did a quick turn to the left, guitar hits the bong, knocks it over, spills all over my desk, and onto my lap where my poor guitar sat

luckily it just got a little wet and there wasn't any damage. I'd have flipped if there was any though.

I once knocked one over onto my brand new 1500 dollar laptop. The water got through the keyboard and into the motherboard, hard drive and everything else. Completely fried out. Then I come to find out that the warranty, as awesome and expensive as it was, does not cover water damage unless it came through some sort of malfunction within the home or other area.

So, I had to come up with a clever plan to make it look like it was their fault so I cut the strap on the carrying case I got with it, just enough to weaken it so I could rip it. Once I ripped it I just tossed the whole thing, including the laptop into a bathtub full of water. Cleaned out the rank bong water and soaked the carrying case and filled the entire laptop with water.

Called them them the next day, told them I was walking to my car and the strap broke and the whole thing fell into a big puddle. 1 month later, new laptop.

I did spell a yard glass of water all over my 4 week old midi keyboard and once it dried out, it still worked.

Not a bong accident as such as my set up was in my kitchen (with hindsight a very stupid place to setup )

Had the ceiling collapse on top of all the kit cause the dozy girl up stairs was so stoned she forgot to turn the tap of on her sink.
Desktop and laptop - totally knackered.

Also took a glass out the dishwasher and turned it upside down to put on a shelf and as i did so half a cup of water spilt on my laptop - keys stopped working

So no set up in the kitchen and no cups/glasses anywhere near.

Also remember Djing in Glasgow - went to the toilet and came back to find the guy who was djing before me had closed my lap top and put his pint on top of it. Luckily no damage - but i wasn't happy

I've said this before but my virus has a mortal enemy in the form of a replica 16th century cast iron Japanese tea pot. When the tea pot gets close to the virus, I can feel the attraction as if the the tea pot were a large magnet and the virus an immovable piece of steel.

The tea pot is determined to kill the virus. But I won't let it. I must remain master of my space.

+1 for that, recently i've had to stop smoking so now i'm a sober loner have the occassional beer but because I can't stand being drunk it never goes further than that. I hate how drinking is the only thing that's seen as acceptible in most societies and anyone who enjoys any other form of drug is suddenly EVIL. Eugh, disgusting hyprocrisy.

Dying for some valium or breakfast these days cos they are the only things I could still enjoy but i'm under the iron thumb of my new posh girlfriend so those are out too. Not a bad trade off though so I aint complaining XD


Anyhoo, back on topic, never spilt a bong in the studio but have spilt a LOT of drinks when stoned in the past and had to do that mad dash where you look back and forth accross the room for a makeshift towel, usually ends up being one of your favourite shirts and then you throw it down onto the spillage screaming NO NO NO NOT THE LAAAAAAPTOOOOOP!!!! always caught it before it seeped over to cause any damage though.

Parents knew and didn't mind that i smoked the herb at 14. so thats not the issue. It was your "Show some respect" comment that made me laugh.

What i was saying is that i have no problem with smokers/drinkers. I dont hate on it, i just cringe when someone write about "how drunk i got last night" or "how baked i was when i eat that cactus" (just examples)
do it if you want just find it weird to talk about it like a subject. Strange, it doesn't feel normal to act this way i know.
