Re: DSF SAMPLE PACK COMPETITION-25
Are all the people who've entered meant to vote for who they think is the best (obviously not yourself) or do we not vote at all? Only listened to bout half so far but some stiff competition thats for sure!

Re: DSF SAMPLE PACK COMPETITION-25
late comer here, hope the track can still make it in! now, lets see whats in the playlist

Re: DSF SAMPLE PACK COMPETITION-25
since there are quite a few tunes im only really gonna go through the ones which stood out for me.... sorry if i skip out urs, not like you care about my opinion
Long Distance: Strong opener! Very nice and steppy, enjoyed the arps and the vibes from the intro were awesome. Bass was kl, reminded me a bit of darkstar at some points so nice one!
Dispersion: Thats a sweet bass going, sounds a bit like iceland, like bubbly volcanic water and shit, the reggae stab maybe could have been a bit more interesting..... and lead was pretty cool, missing a bit of shuffle from the drums, doesn't really change up and get interesting.
Wet Desert: haha, quite enjoyed this one, changed from sounding like the soundtrack to a 70's sci fi tv show to a trance song going through a bit crusher (made me think of one of reso's tunes.... but not as good)....... managed to make it work though, and enjoyed the little edits here and there, although drums could have been fatter for this style of song
No Cigar: Got that 'sneaking out the backdoor' cheeky vibe to it. Maybe would be quite nice for it to flow a bit a some point instead of being so stabby.... but kl tune
Blazing Summer: Ooooh dnb
drums were quite punchy, although could have been a bit more full in the percussing area, and not a fan of the snare sound, too bit crushy and tonal for me. Would have been nice to hear a slightly more intersting melody.....
While Good Men Sleep: Wicked bass, sounds like a sleeping dinosaur going through a formant filter or something, awesome. Got a bit boring after a while though, could have used some more elements, and snare was a bit to short and snappy for my liking.
Amorphus: I liked the intro, very nice (possibly the best intro out the lot so far) bit disapointed by the 'drop'. drums were a bit lacking in the decibel department,a nd bass could have been a bit more interesting..... second drop worked much better than the first with the synths and the bass working well together, shame it wasn't the first one. Work on the arrangement and boost the drums and we got a sweet tune here
Drinking Dirty Water: Quite cool, not sure about the bass.... maybe could have been more low passed, that second lead is no where near as nice as the intro stuff..... its getting cool with the messy arps and stuff, although a build up towards it would have been nice..... yeah please ditch that screachy fucking lead, it makes a nice tune bad sound amateurish....
Ikon: Cool, works well, nice layering of the arps and space bass and all that. definitely in the top 5 strongest tunes i think....
sorry for those at the end.... i began to feel angry/tired and impatient but there you go, will vote once ive had a listen again tomorrow
