Hmm, I'll leave that for you to ponder I think :p Though I will say that only two of my favourite 9 have been voted on so far and one was me just now :s guess we all have *very* different tastes on this board.

my review:

long distance:
great sounding intro, sounds really clean.
when the bass kicks in it somehow reminds me of Kode9 - You Don't Wash feat. The Spaceape (Vocal):)

the shoddy shakedown:
the intro sounds good till the bass kicks in, maybe it's a taste thing but it doesnt feel very nice for my ears

sample riddem:
the first part I didnt like that much, that is probaly because of the high vocals that doesnt really fit nice
the second part I really do like, sounds a bit like 90's house :D

dispersion:
nice dark vibe, reminds me a bit of some kromestar tunes
the open hats really flow nice with the bass and drums, and the boomy bass really punches threw

after midnight:
nice intro, deep deep sub....I like the overal feel of the track but I think it's a bit plain....

footsteps:
tune reminds me of some old disntance and cyrus stuff:
very deep but also a bit plain, second part I like the most

the way you are:
the intro is pretty boring, I skipt to the drop
the bass could be a bit louder, cool vibe, but I expected something bigger after the second drop...I felt a bit let down:p

wet desert:
intro was oke, but when the beat kicked in I was like: wtf is this haha
I thought it didnt really fit well that lead sound

hard koa:
big intro, nero vibes
the lead sound I liked, but the melody isnt really doing it for me
nice arangement though
second part how ever I somehow liked more

no cigar:
funny riddem:) your snares sound really dry though
second part of the tune I like most....your tune has some really funny vibes going on

blazing summer:
intro sounded pretty big, good build up, nice arangement
the lead sound sounds pretty nice but I think your lead needed a little more high

contour sine:
the intro was pretty long and pretty boring
but when the beat kicked in I was like this sounds really fresh:)
the second part after the tiny break sounded really relaxed, realy nice tune

when snails whisper:
a really nice intro but to long for me
the drums are really cool, they sound like they are on electricity:) with some slight distortion
the high synth in the second part I didnt like that much, a bit annoying imo, but that's just a taste thing

while good men sleep:
I dont really like the grunting bass in this one, I thought this track needed a bit more spice and speed maybe....it felt a bit slow in my ears

amorphus:
really relaxed intro and drop, the high synths in there fit really well in the tune
second part I liked the most, a bit of a 8 bit feel in your track:)

morgan poltergeist:
spooky intro, I like it
I like the use of the white noise in the track....
the track has a really nice vibe

dragon fly:
I had the feeling that I was listening to a really long intro
the first minute I liked, but it was getting boring after that

drinking dirty water:
I really like this track, I want a 320:)
the melodies the emotion
the lead sound and bass really have emotion wich I really like in tracks
no complaints at all, GJ :e:

ikon:
the first part was oke, but the second part was way better, good riddems and nice synth melodies

Lust:
AWSOME! haha

yockshit:
cool switch at the drop, but I didnt really like the sound of the wobbles....but the drums are really rollin

best shot:
at 30 sec it sounds like something big is coming:) wich it did
really nice drums and riddem, nice job

really nice job everybody
I hoping people will take the time and give some reviews, it's always nice to know what people think of your tune:)

LONG DISTANCE:
Mellow intro, solid work on the drums has a nice full sound, placement of instruments and hits provides a great pallet of sound, definitely has a future garage vibe going here, proper synth work as well.

THE SHODDY TAKEDOWN:
I really enjoyed this one as well, solid tonal range, huge sub work and great progression.

SAMPLE RIDDIM:
For some reason these first three tunes feel like they were made by the same producer, proper 2-step/Garage vibes going here, great work!

DISPERSION:
Think some equalization could have made this tune stand out a bit more, lovely synth bends and drops.

AFTER MIDNIGHT:
Heavy on the sub, could have gone with a bit more progression, very minimal.

FOOTSTEPS:
This one is my favorite, when I heard this I was convinced that a professional producer sent in a track under an alias, everything on this track sounds clean, reminds me a lot of Random Trio.

THE WAY YOU ARE:
Deep vibes on this one, think the snare could have definitely come out a bit more, this would have to be my second favorite in terms of idea and progression.

WET DESERT:
I'm not really feelin the arpeggiated synths, a bit piercing, too much stuff going on for me.

HARDKOA:
Whoa whoaa, heavy on the drop, solid work!

NO CIGAR:
Really enjoyed this one as well, on a level of production I think some elements of the percussion could have stood out much more, this reminds me of early Horsepower/Benga especially on that gritty wobble you got going.

BLAZING SUMMER:
Proper liquid vibes here, I'm big on Drum and Bass and I love what you did with the sample pack, definitely took it to another level. Solid work on the production as well, but I think the highs were a bit sharp.

CONTOUR SINE:
:)
This is really awesome, nice trip-hop vibe, I don't even know how you got some of these samples, that voice you have on reverb is great.

WHEN SNAILS WHISPER:
Take it easy on that high end, those are some really piercing hats.

WHILE GOOD MEN SLEEP:
This is like Godzilla on cocaine......

AMORPHUS:
Wonderful on the synth hits that accompany the melody, love that second drop, biig!

MORGAN POLTERGEIST:
Solid, think this could have gone without that vocal hit that was included in the pack, otherwise nice approach away from Dubstep.

DRAGON FLY:
This track could have definitely gone with more progression.

DRINKING DIRTY WATER:
Yhes man nice lead synth here, another one that I definitely liked

IKON:
This was also a great track but I think getting heavier drums in here would have been a plus.

LUST:
Good production and progression.

YOCKSHIT:
Not bad for a first time entry! Great work on that break at 1MIN+ glitched Dubz :D

BESTSHOT:
Yhes man, heavy tune, reminds me of Jakes, love the bass drops, production is also sounding solid.

Some stiff competition here for sure, but I think I know who to vote for :) Obviously if someone else wants to do another track-by-track I'd really appreciate it :)

For all the negative comments I make, don't take it personally, its meant to be constructive... I'm not a production god and am not trying to talk down to anyone. A lot of my comments have to do with personal taste anyways...

LONG DISTANCE
Smooth, good melody and ambience. I thought it was well produced too, good levels and such.

THE SHODDY TAKE DOWN
A little simple for my taste. I was feeling the drums, but could have used some more variation basswise

SAMPLE RIDDIM
Nice vibe, could have used some more progression I think

DISPERSION
Very clean sounding, good stop-drop business in there. The bass left something to be desired for me, cool idea though.

AFTER MIDNIGHT
Moody vibes, felt good near the beginning, but then as it goes I want more, levels could be better I think.

FOOTSTEPS
Like the fatness of the drums sitting on top of a light ambience. I can't get into it though.

THE WAY YOU ARE
The bass needs to be pumped up a bit, and the echoey stab thing feels off too. The way the track ends is nice.

WET DESERT
Trancestep?

HARDKOA
Cool + clean. That bit crushed sound reminds me of HANG ON from sega master system, some 80s shit. Nostalgia gets me on this one for sure. My only complaint for this track is it seems too happy...

NO CIGAR
Love the style for sure, production might be a bit less than a few others but the music is good.

BLAZING SUMMER
Blaze up! I like this track, its pretty simple for dnb, but dnb is tough to make, could use a bit more depth but Nonetheless its a good track.

CONTOUR SINE
pretty cool sounds, but Ive never been a fan of offbeat experimental stuff

WHEN SNAILS WHISPER
Whisper? The wave is a block... try not to boost the loudness so much you can hear clipping in it. Otherwise the whisper sound is pretty cool, but it might be overdone at points.

WHILE GOOD MEN SLEEP
Cool sound on the growl thing, a bit more progression and this would have been bomb diggity

AMORPHOUS
Feels like it would be good in a video game, like if your exploring the land or some shit, haha. Pretty spacey, Drums left something to be desired I thought.

MORGAN POLTERGEIST
too quiet. Gimme some bass! The sound is good, but pretty repetitive

DRAGON FLY
I like the hi to low synth melody thing, its catchy.

DRINKING DIRTY WATER
The lead is too harsh for me. Good case of making randomness make sense, well put together track.

IKON
I got into this tune, nice melody. I like the subtle changes too.

LUST
Pretty intense, I enjoy the style. I didn't like the melody though, probably just the synth itself actually.

YOCKSHIT
wooo, drums are good, nice and shuffley. Feel like somethings missing though, maybe just progression, or maybe a bassline with some variance.

BEST SHOT
I like the wobble. Pretty standard dubstep otherwise, i like the snare change up.

i get the feeling that most people only listen to the first 10 tracks in the playlist if you look at the number of plays :?

I have that suspicion as well. Feel that there are some quality tracks at the bottom though so hopefully enough of the people who vote will take the time to listen to all of them.

Meh i'm not so bothered, just the way it goes innit, the tune that's winning isn't at the top, if there were only voted at the top then yeah but enough people are taking the time to find the killer tune at the bottom.
