This

I forgot about Untold, Shortstuff, Peverelist, Appleblim (for Girder alone! 808s!) and Pangaea

definitely Reso, man kills it on every song. Guess thats what 17 years of learning drums can do :)

Also, got to be Benga....his drums always have a sort of undeniable groove about them.

I'm sure there must be many many more but these are the only ones that come to mind at the moment, probably because i've heard them both today. A lot of breakcore/IDM artist always really impress me with their percussion and lots of old stuff from the DMZ and Phaeleh etc

I think it's interesting that you've said kick 1 and snare 3 is a no-no, then the track you link to does exactly that :P

However, I've always been quite interested in the percussion of guys like SPL, Babylon System, Triage.etc.

I got to the bottom of the thread and no one has mentioned 2562! That guy has some insane percs going on.

Talking precussion in an overall sense i.e. programming/sounds/creativity etc, Benga, Kryptic Minds, DJ Madd, Distance and Randomer off the top of my head.

Totally agree, I was gonna say Venetian Snares myself but thought it was too obvious and people would be like "duuuuuh, that goes without saying". On a Breakcore tip I'd like to add Aaron Spectre and Ghost to the list. If you havn't heard of Ghost check him out, he's local but he fully kills it when it comes to pretty sounding Breakcore/IDM
