I have been here for a while but I'm anti-social

Been doing the DNB thing for about 10 years. Djing, producing and promoting. I have gotten quite bored of it though and dubstep came into my life at just the right time. So I am djing and producing dubstep now. There are a couple tunes in my myspace below.

Hi

Rod

Microphone Rambler

I'm feeling the bassline kinship on the forum and the news about this music.

First dubstep experiences were via DJ Distance and Stormfield and then later a trip to DMZ in november to clear out the cobwebs proper.

Whats happenin forums?!?!? Just laying down the introductions. I'm originally from around Toronto, Canada... been living in Sydney, Australia for about 8 years. Been playing drum'n'bass/jungle/hip-hop/reggae since 1997 playing mostly tunes with a reggae vibe but up for anything if the grabs me. Also produce tracks with a Philly/NYC MC by the name of Halfcast and we've got an ep out on the Dub Conspiracy label (www.myspace.com/djsemperfiwithhalfcast). First got into these sounds through labels like ShelfLife, Soundz Of Da Future and Sidestepper a few years back. Finding myself buying more dubstep than anything else lately as its inspiring me a lot more than other styles at the moment. We've seen Kode9 and Skream in the past while down here, but waiting for Mala in a few weeks is keeping me up at night...
Looking forward to spending more of my workday here.
peace,

Hello, I'm DJ Reptilian.

New to the forum, not new to dubstep. Been DJing on and off for about 6 years. Got into the dark garage/breakstep sound in about 2002/2003 (darqwan, jay da flex, slaughter mob, tubby, geenius etc.) then started listening to quite a bit of grime, particularly liked the really heavy halfstep stuff. Bought a few bits of that like "what" by wonder and "slowdown" by j sweet. Was also into stuff like slew dem crew, jammer, dizzee, footsie and d double.

Started REALLY getting into dubstep when I heard loefah and skream w/sgt pokes off barefiles when I was in something of a state - couldn't believe my ears. I also love digital mystikz (works of genius!). I also love juju, kromestar, shackleton, benga, caspa amongst others.

Before I played bits of old skool ragga jungle and 96-98 style drum n bass along with dubstep, grime and breakstep.

Hi, I'm C60 (martin) from notts, originally from newcastle.

Long time lurker, first time poster, been on this dubstep ting for a while now, mainly through barefiles. Started mixing dnb, and picking up a few steppa tunes...dont really enjoy dnb anymore, those tunes have gone right to the back of my box!

Before this i was into allsorts of music, but massively into harsh noise and drone...after seeing sunn0))) live on too many occasions, dubstep is the only thing that can match the bass weight really!

Check out my solo noise project at www.myspace.com/hanshootsfirst
Also working on mixing noise and dubstep together and creating something along those lines....
I DJ at DUBCAMP on a wednesday EVERY WEEK at KUDOS in NOTTINGHAM, come down and help make it even bigger

I go by the name of DJK. Been playing around in nottingham for the past 6 years. Like most i started with the garage, 2step & Jungle then through out my DJ life ive played oldskool, reggae and Nich (bassline house) and played on 2 of the biggest radio stations in nottingham/london, Freeze FM & Unique Fm.

Started playing Dubstep cuz it reminded me of the good old grime days in notts and london.

I run my own DUBSTEP night evey wednesday @ Kudos in nottingham along with Dj C60. Getting very big and loads of good feed back.

Big up Beat down records for the support. hold tight the other notts DJs holding raves for our nottingham peeps. you know who you are.

anyone wants to get invloved with the camp www.myspace.com/thedubcamp

My personal Page www.myspace.com/nottsdjk

Peace and love. DJK
