any good plugin synths for creating really grimey melody lin
just any sort of ideas really, getting myself a nice new Microkontrol and im gonna be working with Cubase Sx2 with Reason 3.0 rewired, so VST plugins or direct plugins are awesome
looking for some really raw, harsh, grimey, low bitrate styled synths, freeware is especially awesome
any ideas?
even some presets would be fun to play with

Ni stuffs cool esp Massive....if possible get the Komplete 4
Korg's Bass Station/V station
Chameleon 5000 .....I could go on.....theres loads to many to list but as like the general rule for life it not how big your list is it is how you use them!? (An old rule that erm...... ok so it's a rule i made it up)
Spend LOADS of time doing nothing except for learning about the physical make up of various sounds, and controling the elements to make particular sounds. Once you gain this knowledge your production level will rise to levels of power that are mighty enough to take on the everliving mumra
Is that the Korg Micro kontrol if it is im jealous. My mate has one and it's sick.May want to use another mic for the vocoder thou, I've heard it's not that good but hey it's only, what around £300???? for the whole kit'n' kaboodle. Almosta bargain.
I was doing the whole "interested in buying one" thing at soundcontrol the other day then started to play with the 'Access Virus TI' rack synth for £1500. Holy Mary mother of God!!! That is where the future lies.....for me anyway. Time to sell the car me thinks!

Na that's an old rule and a fucking good one too, i'm no production king but i've seen so many threads on different forums about what synth can make this sound and what synth can make that sound or what sampler can timestretch a fart and then warp it into a harp.
It really is about using the stuff you got and getting good at it, granted there are better synths than others, but any half decent synths will create good sounds.
For what it's worth though albino is my fave

Fuck the plug-ins! Analogue all the way!
