Look at William's pic on his myspace. Then compare the shape of his face to the pic of Zomby on the front cover of Fader Magazine. Zomby has DARK hair and a bigger nose than William.. but strangely similar eyebrows.

If they're the same person I will eat my dick.

Reading interviews with Burial shows he's obviously a nice guy.
Reading interviews with Zomby is a struggle to get through the pretentiousness.

I'm personally waiting til 2011 for even a peep of info at a third album.

At a LOOOONG stretch I would say they could be brothers.
They both are quite eloquent in interviews, both passionate about their music and their influences.

Burial always spoke about his older brother going out to raves before him.
Zomby seems to talk about always going out to raves.

But then Zomby said he has a brother 10 years older than he is. Perhaps there's just a household of brothers and two of them are fucking incredible artists....and use the same software (it sounds like)

I disagree here, there are alot of similarities in the interviews, even in the style of the writing and the awnsers.
Then agian, that "unedited" burial interview in the wire... lol my ass if that is unedited or atleast manipulated.
All of the track titles are almost mentioned in that interview by chance or so it seems (clearly, this was not chance).

At any rate, there are a lot of similarities but I couldn't give two shits if they are the same person or if they aren't, and I'm not stating either of those two things becaus you just can't be certain of it.

But I always figured Zomby uses sequencers in his tunes? Didn't the Burial interview mention he couldn't use them?

Either way, I like it, it's cool : a little bit of mysticism : more focus on the tunes.

:? i'm sure there are loads of 20 something or 30 something year olds living in london who have brothers who went to raves/grew up listening to hardcore etc. just because in their interviews, they both say they're influenced by old rave music it doesn't mean they're the same people or happen to be brothers. that would be stupid. they're just 2 out of a ton of people who grew up listening to pirate radio at the time, and happen to be influenced by it because they grew up with it. talk to other people who grew up with pirate radio and jungle, hardcore etc. they'll talk just as passionately about it. in a loefah interview and a mala interview they also talk similarly about how they were influenced by old uk music from pirate radio. maybe that confirms burial is loefah and mala is zomby :?

I can't really imagine Kode9 saying "LOL". Maybe it was an imprecise quote. Anyway I googled "Zomby Burial" and this is all I came up with:
