Since their first release back in 2008, Bristol based trio KOAN Sound have been turning heads with their impressive DJ sets and seriously weighty productions. Starting off with a distinctly B-town, synthy purple sound in "Coast To Coast", the rhythms soon give way to a quirky chopped up vocal drop, giving it a darker, less psychedelic glare than Joker or Guido. Teaming up with Asa on the flip, lullaby lyrics float ethereally over a melodic piano section, until a whomping snare snaps us back to reality. Simply stunning!
