Medictune, Tim Hardie and Tyrone ‘Chutney’ Frost: Newcomers to the scene that have wasted no time in making their sounds heard.
Their new EP “Life into Song. Part 1” is a prelude to a full length LP due for release later in the year on Bassweight Recordings.
Life into Song is a dub-filled soulful laden collection of deep dubstep tracks to cruise and ease back to. Combining beautiful vocal samples,
deep bass and the odd dancefloor driven stab. Riding the moving melodies of “The World Will Turn Upside Down” through to the
dancefloor grooves of “A Bold World”, the EP then moves back into meticulously crafted atmospherics of “All I’ve Done”.
Closing it off is “A Bold World” – a remix from Scott Detail. With releases on Dubxtent and another forthcoming release via Optimus Gryme
Recordings these boys have 2010 well and truly sorted as the launch into the New Zealand and International Dubstep scene.
