So it's back to the good old "sex sells" method huh So how about us girls? What about what sells for us??? lol

thanks a lot, an honor:) I'm serious about that track though, i've got a local radio show "Iron Ears" in my country and we promote worldwide undergound mostly... Played some of Kaiori &Tripwire's tracks the pass few shows.

Peace

@Impey
Proper tight track, loving the hard dub vibe you have going on, the sub is proper nice and fat and sounded sick even through my shitty headphones, also loved the use of samples, just overall proper sick track, well played always good to hear people going back to the more roots side !

@johnnyforeplay
Proper good production on this one, the bass i energetic and keeps me interested, the drums are also nice on this one proper like the sound of the kick, good work !

@Rave
For your 2nd track this is sick, id be happy if i made that myself after a few months ! i like the midrange bass, but id maybe bring the volume up on it a bit and maybe layer a sub with it to make it sound fatter, nicely done though !

Annnnnnnnyway, heres a track ive just finished, got a chill sorta purple vibe going on ! feedback appreciated :)

@Paravrais I like intro. Cool noise, but to me the high pitched synth sort of killed it. Just a personal opion. Good work with the drums, although they could be brought slightly foward in the mix.

@Iron ears I love the vibe of the track and was really intrigued at the start. I liked the way you developed it but there seemed to be no immediate pay off interms of the drums. Cool vocal and great vibe.

@Craggle I liked it! Very Joker esqe. Nice work with the synth melody and arpegiation. It all seems to sit very nicely. Good track :D

Yeah despite the bassline in that tune being the most 'brosteppy' i've ever done I don't really dig that kind of sound so i'm not really into the massive drums thing. Prefer them slightly in the background so the melody takes centre stage but cheers for the feedback, i'll take another listen and make sure I havn't put them *too* far back, probably have knowing me, when it's late at night and your mixing a track it's easy to keep pushing everything up :\ Think I know what you mean about the high pitched synth, it's in the intro but doesn't come in again for a bit after the drop. Will try and take your advice in and sort it out, listening to it now the mixdown doesn't sound as good as it could be, cheers.

Your tune is sounding nice, I take it it isn't your first tune, just your first one posted here XD cos if that's your first tune I might just give up right now lol. Production is sounding nice and tight, only thing I would say is the chords with the lfo wobbling on them sound a wee bit cheesy but that's just personal preference. Good vibes!

@paravrais - sounds good production wise. not a fan of the high synth, maybe just needs to be taken back a little. drums sound good, maybe beef up the kick. dunno how, maybe add some lf.

@chris mack - personally, i love it. cant find much to crit. the hats dont sit amazingly and the snare pattern is a bit bait, but tbh, im just being overly critical.

@craggle - like the '8bit-ness' of the synths. actually, love it. feel like some more variation in the dynamics, especially the bass would have been good. just feels a bit unrelenting. maybe a diff kick sample. but im being overly critical again. really love the track.

@ironears - love it. like the drums sitting so far back, really suits the track. not much to say. everything that i think would be good happens in the next couple of bars as im listening to it!

Heres my new track....

Impey, are you gonna be chucking any 320's around mate? This tune is massive, nice and crisp, bass is soft but full, little melodies are perfect. nice and laid back top work.

Chris mack, lovin this, proper smooth progressive. no crit again this is a tune. 320 up for download?

Parvis, Lil intro piece is nice, percussion is nice and tidy i would brighten it up a bit though and a bit more volume. Like the vibe i reckon it could use a bit more low/mid bass but personal pref i guess. the synth you have made for the bass is a nice sound though, 2.18 is a nice grimey touch. Nice work

320 of Kush up on soundcloud tonight, final version let me know!

!Peace!

@Paravrais: the whistle synth at 5:00 is a perfect wind-down. Have to agree with the Chris Mack about the high pitched synth sound. The melody was great, just wasn't feeling the sound. The gated/glitchy/portamentoish sound right at the beginning is F@cking king though. Nice bit o sound, that.

@ironears: Really nice esoteric, implacable vocals. Just sort of wrap around your brain without ever sticking into anything. Nice. However, was definitely not feeling the (gain?) modulation that kicked in around 1:25. Specicically on the vox. Seemed to be working against that nice chill downtempo sorta vibe you had going.

@impey: The falling synth that punctuates the tail end of the riser, Money shot. That bass is nice and subdued. Deep and rolling. You've got the riser nailed though. Don't really like that synth sound that comes in after the second drop, but it sounds fine with the rest of the instruments. So, what do I know? lol More really nice vocals, especially how you let em unfurl after the drop. And the percussion is crisp as can be. Nice. Really forward in the track. Which I like, and sometimes struggle with achieving.

Ok, go easy on me. I've only been producing for 2 1/2 months. Like, non-stop for 2 1/2 months, but still. I entered this in the unfinished tracks thread, but felt like peeps went easy on me cuz it's (technically) unfinished. I personally don't know if I'll ever be able to truly walk away from a track, I mean, until the old dubplate press arms slam shut on it, I'll be messing with it. So, yeah. Please, everyone, tell me what you think and what could be improved.

@paravrais: Two more things. Sick name. Love it. And also, that little 808 sounding high hat sorta hissy sound that plays on the off-beat, that sound is really kind of prominent. I was gonna recommend trying the track without it, but really, I think it adds a bit. I just think it adds a bit too MUCH right now. Trying nestling it into the track with some reverb and gain reduction. See if you like the effect.

@para-stealth-elf ... really nice intro synth you got going on, very glitchy... Im not to keen on the bass patch but its just my taste, you used it very well. feels like it could do with some more atmosphere, soemthing to give the notes a menaing and set the mood... but once again... just my preference... ace track.

@samkablam ... you really could put alot more work into that... but I like where its going.

@impey ... you should umm... gimme a 320 on that one.

Soundcloud

This all came about in about the last six hours, wanted an excuse to run SOMETHING through the fender head my friend had brought by. Hence the strings. Kind of a slap together project, nothing too special, I could probably do alot more work on the mixdown but eh... just not feeling it enough myself to put much more into this one, think itll probably sit this way. Critcism and feedback welcome as always, and its a free tune, so download all you want... be nice to get some soundcloud comments, follows, what have you, if your downloading, seems only courteous seeing as i gave you a tune.

safe, like your track. doesnt really do much, just repeats, but i guess you just wanted to use your new head, and it definitely doesnt sound shit. the feedback is sick too, is that from the head?

just wondering, as i thought my track was pretty finished, what you think i need to do? dont want you to write it for me, but i didnt think it sounded unfinished.

thanks for the feedback

if you listen to it theres a chord change about halfway through the second verse... and lots of pluck changes... but eh... I see what you mean.

feedback? Nah probably from the delays... revered a chord from the strings, put it through a 1 step delay with short feedback and a 4 step delay with massively long feedback, automate em around a bit for variety... but yeah everything string sin that is passed through the tube.

in regards to yours, idk man, I like minimal stuff... I normally write real bare minimal vibes... but just seems like Im waiting for a drop the never comes while nI listen to it, and then when the drop does come, it barely lasts... each their own though, and really, the thension is probably what youw ere going for.

oh yeah, i heard that. i meant more dynamically. but again, each to their own init. the strings definitely sound good. any other outboard or nice plugins, or totally fenders work?

cool, yeah i like that tension, but i think im gonna repeat the last section. i thought you meant more the mix was shit. im really paranoid about that, i only had a few hours to mix it, and the rest was done on earphones :) haha.
