can't get my head around ableton

Post by hasezwei » Wed Aug 18, 2010 9:18 pm

a friend and me, both logic users for quite some time have been trying to get into ableton for months and... it's a pain in the ass.
it's not only the different interface or their "non-destructive audio-editing".... it's everything!

so, what we need is a tutorial like from zero. really, we're so used to logic i guess there's no point in trying to teach it to ourselves.
i mean he just created a new project, hit play and suddenly an mp3 on his desktop starts playing. WHAT IS THIS?

and no, i don't want a discussion about what would be better than ableton. we want to use it for live performance, we already have it. and i have a launchpad and i dont want all that money to be wasted :P

Some handy shortcuts in there, it really speeds up your workflow when you know em all, I could do with brushing my knowledge up a bit really.

Ableton is the one and only DAW I ever used and although it took me time to get my head around it I know basics, must watch that video though I reckon.
