SAMPLING: ABLETON vs MPC500

Post by edgecom » Mon Aug 23, 2010 2:09 pm

I am needing some advice and reasons between sampling through ableton -> wav -> mpc VS. directly into the MPC.

What are the pros and cons of each side?

with ableton you can fatten up your samples first ..but if your samples sound the way you want them then i don't see any point in running them threw ableton!

use ableton if you need to change or alter the samples in any way (although you can do this somewhat on the mpc also)... if you have samples that you want to use how they are then load them into the mpc

the only reason you'd load something into ableton first is because you want to change the sound in some sort of way that wouldn't be possible or as easy on the mpc
