Headhunter is a dubstep producer / DJ from Bristol, England, currently signed to Tempa. Starting off with twitchy minimal half-step rhythms on the label Ascension he set up with flat-mate Tech Itch (aka Technical Itch), his sound now occupies a niche section of the dubstep scene, sitting comfortably between the ultra-heavy bass styles of Skream, Benga and his Tempa stablemates, and the deeper Berlin influenced techno side of the dubstep coin, favoured by the likes of Scuba, 2562 & Martyn. His debut album ‘Nomad’ was released in September 2008 on Tempa. He also released the infamous "Footcrab" under the alias Addison Groove.

Dubstep is his sound and there have been many firsts for Joe along the way, such as:
1. The first internet radio show to feature dubstep in North America.
2. The first American-based dj to play on RinseFM.
3. The first American-based dj to play the legendary DMZ bi-monthly bash.
4. The first American-based dj to play FWD>> @ Plastic People.
Nice is universally recognized as the ambassador of the dubstep sound in North America and one of the purveyors of the sound worldwide with his upfront selection and skillful mixing.
He first heard Dubstep in 2002, at the Baltimore venue Starscape, and began playing the sound that same year. He has been praised for his charisma and stage presence and in 2005
music journalist Martin Clark praised him for his access to new dubplates (in contrast to other American Dubstep DJs) and willingness to play tracks by lesser-known producers.
He is a member of GourmetBeats and co-founder of New York's dubstep night, DubWar, which has hosted performances from dubstep heavyweights such as: Skream, Mala,
Scuba, Distance, Kode9, Cyrus, Breakage and Loefah.
In 2007, JoeNice was recognized as one of URB's NEXT 100.
