I actually spin both. on wednesday, i spin chill dubstep at this small bar (appleblim, boxcutter, DMZ, four tet, james blake, mala, mount kimbie, ramadanman, pantha du prince, redinho, 2562 etc) and on saturday, i do mashups/hip hop/ and eventually go into the more hype dubstep [robostep?] (bar 9, cookie monsta, datsik, downlink, flux pavilion, funtcase, reso, skism, statelapse, etc)
people just just grow up and stop bitching. you can like wine and beer, there is no problem.
It's not necessarily the music that bugs me, it's how it's promoted on DSF. If you come across like an idiot, people are going to have a go.

So there is no reason for the robostep, just dubstep works fine still.
well if you look in the group ive posted youll see its all robotic sounds and stuff .so it works for me and the ppl posting..im not saying i dont make dubstep stuff..more of the dub fluence. but when theres a robot in it saying danger or and many samples of robo movments and so on...its sounds pretty robostep to me

We're just offering our opinions saying it's dumb to try and make another subgenre of dubstep. If you want to put robot sounds in dubstep, fine, but we don't think it's a good idea to make another name for it. Then you have people focused on trying to make robostep instead of trying to make music.

people aint hatin on you cos they dont like dubstep with robotic sounds, personally i love datsiks - jenova project and it cant be denied that it takes talent to pull off.
