@skriptah
Yo I proper love the build up to the track thats just so so sick! loving every bit of it! And that break at 2.59 is just intence. I reckon you could work more with the arrangement and let the track breath abit if u catch my drift. Then Bang in with the hard synths again :)

@tripwire22
The tracks propa mellow and deep.. Sounds like a track for a movie doh still.. When i listen to this gives me the vibe that im ona mission.. propa deep dark sounding vibe :)

For the second track I love the rhodes u put into it. and the bass is very deep and subtle still.

Would love to hear ur feedback on my remix tune. Dont really know how to arrange it towards the end yet but i'll figure something out I guess :)

@Martello, thanks for listening despite not having a penchant for this style, i appreciate it, really :)

"Mr I Can"
The intro has some pretty overwhelming highs once a few instruments come in, and your snare also has a bit of that overwhelming high hiss to it, but that's really not much of a problem, check it out in a spectral analyzer and just make sure it's peaking in the right spots (depending on the snare you are going for, this could be ballparked between 180 hz-650 hz. lower is a punchier snare, higher is snappier or crisper.) for this track in particular, it sounds like it's trying to peak somewhere between 200-350 but is getting smothered a bit by highs, if it was mine, i'd just do a quick eq and make sure the 200-350 area comes through well. Snare is crucial, like a keystone of a track. The synth melodies are just about perfect, i want to hear a small amount more dynamics with the notes and rhythm, and the synth pads and leads all sound like they need a good EQ too. Totally bugs me when the biggest thing in the mix is the WHHHHISSSSHHHH. Tight work so far, just get a soundcloud, please.

@Grok
Thanks so much for the kind words. I felt my track was honestly really contrived and i didn't like it until the last 10 minutes of working on it (probably due to familiarity by that point) but i'm sure glad other folks are feelin it haha. If you want to play it out, i could send you a 320 dj edit next week after it's finished. Just send me a message if you're interested because i'm always into in giving DJs my tunes :)

"Lazer"
Intro chords and rhythm of the chords are dope, beat and synth could use some sculpting still, so i can't really comment on the mixdown for the intro till thats done. it's like hip hop, i feel like KRS one should be rapping doubletime over it. Do some eq on your main intro synth to bring bits of it out so it's not as full-range. That way when the bass hits, it fills something more out.
Drop is heavy, but i want MORE MORE MORE BASS! bring the white noise/rev cymbal whatever that is down a little bit, kick and snare will sit more nicely after that. Main bass synth sounds a bit too loud too, so even it out with the sub volume-wise a bit nicer. Will be easier after EQing as well. I feel like it would help add some room to the mix if most, if not all of the tracks were brought down 1 dB, maybe 1.5 dB. Try to always start quiet and bring sounds up when necessary.
send me a message on sc when this is done, i'm interested in your workflow and where this bass is going, how it's gonna be all nice and groomed

@Jstick/BadHair
It's Street x lite, fyi. You can just call me Kesek if you want
Thanks for the feedback, i'll try it out for sure. I'm slowly becoming a master of WAHs YOYs YAWs and YUHs. It's not that hard with a basic sound design education.

"Fly intro sample"
Again, i like the vocal bit a lot. You need it to be intrument #1 in your mix though, it needs to peak above the kick, snare, bass, everything (rule of thumb for poppy samples, voice over top everything) . That means you will have to take off some of your compressors output and thresh a bit on whatever you have compressed. Honestly it does sound very dense though, did you umbrella compress it? If so, that's a no-no. Be nicer to your compressors and they will be nicer to you.
Go back a few spaces, make some room, make vocals be right in front of everything, and you'll be headed in a better direction.
Bassline at the end is crazy sick, although it could use a bassline #2 friend to switch back and forth between so that it's not constantly playing YO YO YO YO!. Not so much bitcrushing either. Downsampling is ok, but i don't know why people think bitcrushing is so crucial and necessary on basslines. You get a cleaner YOY without reducing the bits.

@Tripwire
Dude, i was waiting for someone to post some nice warm bass with some rimshots. I love this track.
This is what dubstep was at the beginning. Spacey, warm, pretty, and deep.
Could benefit from a high filterdelayed chime sample, or some sort of high end sustained bit, to seperate 16 or 32 bars from eachother.
I have no feedback for this track besides make it longer and more progressive because it's fucking awesome, for real.

Sorry if i was hard on you guys. After work i'm usually a dick. Bowl has been smoked and i'm now in peace mode.
Really need some feedback on this work in progress from this sunday that i did. Track is called Deep Blue Dub and is Old Skool Step in the style of dmz/2005 skream/loefah etc. THOUGHTS?
Soundcloud

(actually i have about 6 new tracks on my sc page that pretty much all need feedback, so if you guys are into it, have a listen, share some thoughts)

@Streetxlite - sorry dude! Dont even know why i put "leet" instead of "lite", I've been proper tired today so excuse me on that. Thanks for the feedback though, I'll have a proper go with your suggestions and I'll give you some crit for the track you posted tomorrow as its getting a little late and I'm tired.

Stay well

@Tripwire: As I mentioned before, good vibes, solid structure, just needs to be eq'd properly, a thicker snare would also be a plus. Send it to me if you need any help! :D

Update from previous page, deep, minimal dubstep.

@ tripwire nice pads /atmospherics diggin the creepy wind, i think the drums could be more powerful maybe give the kick/snare the treatment to make em fill out a bit and the bassline is dope i'd ad some variation say by chopping the notes into 1/4 or 1/8 to get the attacks in there for some oomph chill track

@ streetxlite deep one man that low synth is slick i like the first minute alot but the slow build up seems like it drags on a bit perhaps a fatty bassline thru there would carry it thru

not really dubstep but the vibe i'm on right now

i like the 808 but perhaps a subbass would be better?

@tripwire - you know my thoughts, winrar tune all round. No idea where you should go with it though :(

@Pr0ximas - not really my style, but I think you have this one down. Solid remix and nice production and arrangement.Nice work on the bass and I like your snare and your jingly shuffle sounds.

@streetxlite - I hear shepard tone. It's sexy. Nice work here man. Very well put together and quite a compelling listen overall. Very nice arrangement and sounds.

@HAACK nice dark minimal vibes and some great dirty metallic sounding bass work too. Lots of great sounds in here to keep things interesting.

@tek_selecta yours isn't loading for some reason, so I'll edit this post tomorrow with something to say about your tune :)

Sorry I can't give any input with regards to where people should take their tunes, I'm never any good at that, but everybody's work here so far sounds pretty wicked. Nothing bad to say about anybody's really. Props people. :)

Soundcloud First WIP I've posted in a while. This one's a bit different from what I usually do though, it's a bit darker. Well, by my standards anyway.

@ HAACK, drum work on the intro is really ear catching That snare sound .... mmm. I like your approach to the levels, bass sits in the atmosphere level and acts as such. I almost always love the deep stuff so i don't have much to say. Groovy track dude

@ Tek-selekta
Super south gangsta-ey. Were you sippin on some tussin while makin this? lol, i kid. Groovy beat. Sometimes when i'm doing hip hop like this i'll just drop one of the few acapellas i have to see if it has any flow. Sometimes it doesn't and changes need to be made accordingly. If no words are in the future for this song, then i need a much more melodic intro. Nice sound. The roller/breakcorey bit was sweet too. Work on that to make it shine.

@Kaoiri Breathe
What is sheperd tone?
I like how the mid bass rinses you back into the one beat on the intro, that's a nice hook. fucking sweet bass work. Drum beats are really good as well, i feel like an asshole asking, but are they loops? feel free to "/backhand" for stupid question. Need to hear more vox in the mix, but maybe you were going for subdued vox in certain spots. Pad could come up a bit in the mix, but that's opinion and preference too. Really good listen!

I did some more sculpting to some bass tones, and spaced out some drum sections where i did bass bombs. This is my third mixdown on this track. I'm so fuckin stoked on it now, but i'm also just fucking stoned as hell too, so i might be stupid. Opinions! Did i fuck it up?

@TheShah: diggin the beginning, cool rhythm. to be honest the synth introduced at 1:09 is a little too corny for my taste, but your rockin it pretty decently. anyway my fav part is def when the bass comes in, you introduce it REALLY well, i like that alot. only suggestion i would give would be make that synth just a bit less... "ravey", for lack of a better term. but if thats what your going for then by all means keep it.

@streetxlite: GRIMEY!!! dope stuff, really. thought the beginning arpeggio synth was a bit corny, but honestly i think if you just put one accidental in the right place on that synth it would sound alot better. just one little note to bring in some dark tension to those chords. again tho thats just me. oh and by the way, the chord stabs (with a 3/16 based rhythm i think?) sounds realllly good with the grimey synth. good shit

@kalori breathe: im sorry but i dont have any constructive criticism. this track is dope. really dope. fuckin awesome vocal sample, especially how you used it. good job man

posted the beginnings of this earlier but id like some feedback on the more finished version. def still wanna touch up the synth that comes in after second part and before the dirtier bass, but yall get the idea.

@StreetXlite, im really feelin this man, i can definitely see the old school dubstep influence in it, i wish more people were producing this type of style still. only input i really have is try to vary up that synth line a bit and get a bit abstract with it, but i cant really talk i tend to do similar things in some of my tracks :D

@Kalori, im really enjoying this track, the vocals set a really nice ambiance and vibe, on my akg's it sounds like the bass/wobble could be turned up a bit, but like i said these are AKG's not a club system so maybe you just have some serious low end. I love the triangles in there, ive been so fixated on using them as variations lately and its nice to see other people getting down with it too. keep up the good work bud

Stayed up way later than i should of workin on this one tonight, any advice appreciated, if you like it follow me on soundcloud too, i want more people to bounce tracks with directly on soundcloud!

@ dupe: Good one. Original style. Vocal fits in nicely. Disregarding the occasional delay, the snare lacks some space imo. I'd give it a tad (more?) reverb
, should fit in the space of the synths. (I could be wrong though - i'm still a n00b). Overall i think its great.

@blazinaidan: Hah very nice. Synths remind me of Wisp and a bit of Aphex. Drums in the first part are a bit too progressive for my taste
but overall it's an awesome listen. Mixing and levels seem tight enough. Great and original style, finish it!

@streetxlite: so, so good already. KILLER bass! The synths are a bit cheesy at times, but i can handle that :p.
Overall mixing and levels seem all right. Listened to it multiple times, really don't kno how
you could improve it, it's dope. Keep em coming!!!

@kaiori breathe: Great basswork! Not a big fan of vocals but they work all right here. Personally,i would've
gone for a bigger snare, but maybe you don't have anymore mix space for that. Very relaxing listen.
Appears finished to me mate. Excellent work!

Here's my wippy, id' love some feedback! :D

@Traffikz - I'm liking this, the melodies on that pan pipe type thing are nice. Do I hear a sample from the last sample pack comp? XD The production quality isn't the highest but the mixdown is good. Think your effects processing and EQ needs to be nailed a bit more but the levels are good basically. All in all it's a good track and shows promise, just needs to be fleshed out a bit more, more variation etc blah blah blah but nothing major sticks out as needing to change. Nice work.

@Dupe - Mixdown needs a lot of work in all areas but the general premise of the song is nice and you have some good melodies. The main midline thing needs the most work I reckon. Sounds pretty basic at this stage.

@Blazinaidan - Couldn't really get into this I'm afraid. Melodies didn't really hold my attention and it's a bit too disjointed for me.

@Streetxlite - Did I comment on the last version of this you posted?? Definitely listened if I forgot to comment before XD I'm liking this now, sounding much sharper. Aside from the yoiyoi bass that just makes me sad you have some good sounds here.

@Kaiori Breathe - You already know what I think of this track man, very nice work as ever. Only thing it needs is more detail and it'll be a finished product as far as I'm concerned.

Right, now I've done quite a lot to my WIP and wanna know if people are feeling it more now after the changes. All feedback greatly appreciated :) (especially wanna know if I've limited it too hard :\ I can't tell but there was looooaaads of headroom on the finished track so I pushed it quite far..)

@tripwire. love how that track is sounding, very spacious and uncluttered which is cool.

@Haack. some real deep vibes there man loving it, totally up my street. guess it needs structuring? but other than that its sounds crisp and really cool

@kaiori. man i love what you do with vocal samples, this sounds so sweet, i need to back into using some vocal samples some more

@streetxlite. not really my kinda thing but it sounds cool, love the sounds in the intro and i can imagine people would probably go nuts at the drop

@blazinaidan. this is definitly my kinda thing, although the bassline is panned to the left which is pretty offputting, think that needs sorting out, the stereo imagine is really uneven. apart from that though its a nice track

There are 2 loops in there layered over A hardcore kick, an indian percussive 'kick' sound and about 3 of my own snares layered together and a hell of a lot of processing to hold it all together.

Also, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shepard_tone I am sure I heard it in there lol. I could be wrong though.

TY to everybody for their crit so far :)

@ponte_ricky, some interesting sounds in this one, all works together quite nicely, very nice bass work, those synths taking the lead lines during the first drop grate after a while imo. They're interesting and cool to start out but they feel a little over-used and it gets hard to listen to. The second drop is quality without them, or at least without exhausting their use, some nice rising bass sounds popping up under your wobble. This whole thing reminds me a little of that tune mala and coki did, can't remember it's name, the one with a video of a squid. Good tune overall.

@stealth_elf, lovely intro, very dark and brooding, all the sounds compliment eachother very, very well and they come in at all the right times. Sounds like a really solid mix to me too, I wouldn't worry about your limiting. It all sounds great. There's some lovely melodies and textures in your first drop. The section after that is very strange lol, with that sax sounding instrument, but it works, its very cleverly arranged so I like it. There's a lot of dissonance between 2.44 and 3.12 that sounds a bit unessential, for me it detracts a little from the tune. Second drop is wicked. Some very well thought out bass lines and melodies here man. Great tune over all.

@jaspervc - no crit required. Awesome tune. Only thing I'd say is that I don't think your snare fits, and it sounds very flat and drowned out.

@TRaffikz nice work here man, some nice melodies on that little pan pipe-esque instrument. Sounds good.

@Dupe wasn't expecting that arpeggiated run in the drop, but i'm glad it's there, very very nice. Sounds very hectic, in a good way to me.

@blazinaidan Very nice, I'd love to hear those pads as more than just detuned saws (sorry if that's not what they are, that's what they sound like to me) I'd love to hear some more layers of sound in there to really thicken them up because they really are lovely. Personal taste more than anything though. Also 1.34 - I can't tell if you're smart or just lucky. Very interesting ideas rhythmically and in terms of harmonic content. It takes work to make something sound that disjointed without it sounding shit, so well done for that. That dirty sound is great, sounds like a really nasty guitar distortion.

@TheShah, fantastic, love it. Great sounds, great movement, great harmonies and melodies, great bass lines. Very well put together.

@streetxlite wicked bass sounds, wish I could make some of the sounds I'm hearing here. lovely chord progression in those stabs too. Sounds done to me. Love all the sounds in here. It's like a nintendo had sex with dubstep while house masturbated in the corner.

@Tek Selecta: Nice vibes going on, loving the instrument choice and it needed a lively ending and you gave it one. Nice all round

@kesek: The first one, Deep Blue Dub, is nice and deep as the name suggests, pads are great, lovely vibrancy about the track. I'd maybe put more delay on the intro drums and maybe more reverb to give it that spacey echoed feel. Liking it so far

@kaiori breathe: Nice man, my favourite of yours so far. Check my sc comment.

Needs a good bit of processing/mastering but as far as production goes:
