anyone can give me the basics or a nice tutorial? cuz I can't find any :/

muches gracios!
I'd send you the preset but I've spent too long trying to create the sound to just give it away

The sound I made is at about 1.28 in this

Soundcloud

I made it in massive, and this is how

3 osc -
1st smoothSqu, and lowered the intensity -12.00
2nd squ-saw, set to saw +12.00
3rd sin-tri, set to sine -12.00

then bandpass filter, play around with the bandwidth and res
set lfo to cutoff, sine wave, 4/12 rate and adjust to preferences

then add chorus and reverb! done

Hello folks,

I'm hoping someone out there can help me, I'm trying to figure out how to make this kinda funky wavy synth sound similar to the one used by Antiserum and 12th Planet in their tune 'Purple & Gold' as well as many many other Dubstep tunes.I've tried searching Google but without the proper vocab its near impossible,so if there's already another post on this subject (which I suspect there may be), please just refer me to it and I apologize for regurgitating the same topic again :)

Here's a link to the the tune in case you dont know it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WDVeB4M60A4

Hopefully a more skilled producer than I can help me out, it would be much appreciated, and would be happy to return the favour in any way that I can :)
Thanks :)

nobody has answered. posting over and over again, wont make people answer. from memory the sound that springs into my head is a bitcrusher. The fact you use FL9 has nothing to do with anything, have fun

I'm trying to make a high pitched synth similar to the ones in Sweet Shop http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oZkzcm7ubQg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NI2b7qXUlnE and Hold On (Sub Focus Remix) I made some progress playing around with saw waves, but I still haven't achieved a satisfactory sound. Any help? Using Malstrom synth on reason btw.

I would love to synthesize that sound as well since it's great for hiphop. I honestly believe that it's just a recorded organ though :S

Anyone got a 10 second C3 organ sample? <333

I'm a huge fan of Mellowstep and trying to produce it myself. (reason user)
Been creating my own sound a bit and experimenting.

Just wondering how I could progress to achieve something close to this synth:

By no means am I going to copy this synth to take credit for it, I just want something in those lines wich I could use together with my sound.

Cheers DSF!

Hey, I would love a few pointers on this sound I'm trying to emulate (for learning purposes). It's this big white-noise+synth pad sound. It's present in a number of james blake / mount kimbie / flying lotus (especially fly lo) tracks. Here is an example.

The part comes in at 2:17

Also, slightly different, but this sounds as well:

Comes in at 0:05. Is that just filtered white noise that is side-chain compressed to the bass drum?

I dont want to copy their sound in any way. But i really am driving myself crazy about The Others basslines.
They sound hollow but still full. I have recreated it a little bit in Albino. Seems like they are using two combfilters
and alot of saturation. Still cant get the exact sound. So im thinkin maybe they work with hardware?

I think this is one of the most unique signature bass sounds in dubstep. Anyone got any ideas on how to make it?

It's dead simple, but I still suck at making pads. Mine all sound so brassy and shit, have for a year now. How do you get the pad that starts at 3:26?
