Re: artists that sound like burial
would say Pariah has some similarities, and he names burial as one of his biggest influences
synkro definitely aswell and without a dobt clubroot in some ways share some similar features
I think its really interesting to see people being influenced by burials sound.

except that synkro made brostep sorta tunes before burial, then started nicking all those little gun reload and shell drop samples. u cannot tell me that the only thing they have in common is garage influence.Phigure wrote:Like I said, no one
the only thing that synkro and burial have in common is that they're both garage influenced
but both their music goes so much deeper than that
Only the madman is absolutely sure.

Re: artists that sound like burial
yeah burial is pretty unique.
however he was heavily influenced by El-B and other darker 2-step producers.
Don't get me wrong, i'm a massive fan, but sometimes he gets praised as if he had coined that whole sound himself.
In his Wire interview back in December 2007, he talks about who's influenced him too.
The anonymity, of course, plays such a part in creating a certain magic around the sound which can't be matched.
