Dubstep Yellow Pages - Good Idea?

Post by dj_theorist » Thu Mar 08, 2007 1:44 pm

Hey all.

I read in http://dubstepforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=16209
classagraphics wrote:would be interesting to create a yellow pages of sorts for the dubstep scene - could list all things from labels and djs to promotion companies, booking agencies, radio stations, designers, magazines etc. It can only help.
What does everybody think? Good idea? Will it work? Because im happy to make it happen, and i could set it up (got some web design history).

Then everybody thinking about submitting that mix tape they spent half there life on, can get it into action!

It should help the community grow, and help people get there bass out there!

Let me kno aiight

Peace 8)

Indeed a *very* good idea.

Although please dont restrict it to just dubstep, i'll even host it if its more comprehensive..

remember its all classagraphics idea. I just thought id create his dream :P

Sure, it could be for lots of genre's.. Im feeling more underground kinda tunage tho. Dubstep, break-core, clown-core etc.. Not just your standard everyday play on the radio..

I reckon this sounds like a good idea. How do you actually vote, is there a button to click or something, cos there isn't one at the top of this thread

wow glad people are liking the idea -- would love to work with some folks and make this happen. would be nice to hear some ideas/opinions first from more folks before we launch into something. I think the diverse genres thing is cool, but might require different people being charge for various genres -- to be honest i know nada bout breakcore. anyone feel free to get in touch with me or just post up ideas

Absolutely. If it wasn't restricted just to dubstep, there would have to be categories then, to seperate dubstep from the other subgenres, as DNB would no doubt take over otherwise.

you could also add monthly/weekly events per state/country to give people a heads up for when they're travelling and need some bassweight in their face.
