processing

say when you process a break, or a bounced down bass sound etc, what would you normally do to them. is it when you eq, compress, distort etc, i just want someone to clear this up

processing = generic term for "anything you can do to audio"

there isn't an easy answer - but for most breaks try to avoid dynamic processing cause they don't need it - go with EQ in spades though

Just listen to it. If it doesn't sound the way you like it then change it accordingly. It'd be much more productive to ask how you process it to achieve your desired sound.
