With each release enthusiastically supported by Annie Mac
and Zane Lowe, and enjoying heavy rotation in the
hands of dubstep royalty such as Skream and N-Type, Chase &
Status have achieved a lot in five years. Following three
number one tracks on the UK Dance Chart in 2007, their debut album More Than Alot entered the Dance Album chart at number 2 in October 2008.
Often marked as the biggest crossover act to emerge from the underground since Pendulum, retaining utter credibility through their production work for the likes of N*E*R*D and The Prodigy, collaborations with Dizzee Rascal, Plan B and Kano, and providing a hefty wedge of bass at nights such as RAM Records’ 18th birthday party at Fabric alongside Andy C and Autonomic (D Bridge and Instra:mental).
Winners of Beatport's Best Dubstep Artist and Best Dubstep Track award, 2010 has been Nero's year. After dabbling in drum and bass for a few years, their first dubstep release, This Way feat. Alana, infiltrated the dubstep dancefloor in 2008. Remixes of The Streets, Deadmau5 and La Roux soon bolstered public opinion; having supported Chase & Status, Zane Lowe and Deadmau5, they stop off at Jungle Nation as part of a huge global tour.
