I took my place dorect;y on front of the decks as the medi boat started and didnt leave so the queueing wasnt a problem for me,
all three sets were sick-pokes pulling up clearly distorted with his face was the highlight for me.
swamp81 boat party was also amazing, hijak and loefah playing half an hour of jungle at the end was mindblowing.

the variation in music was brilliant, gentleman's dub club and broken £nglish were defintely highlights.
dubloke played a massive set on the first night as well.

only problem was the large amount of undercover cops

Haha the undercover cops were proper clowns. I mean, who the fuck dresses in a tight black (or white) t shirt that fits their muscles like a glove, has a skin head and stands in a group watching everyone.

Apart from them everything was basically perfect. The best set for me was definatly Zinc's, he blew my mind. I kept looking up and seeing him smiling at the crowd, like he was in love with the place. Close behind Zinc was Nero and then either Joker (even though his was really short) or Skream n Hatcha. Also really enjoyed the dub like Mungos hi fi and irration steppas, although after the first night it did start to sound the same.

But yeah im missing it already. When do you reckon outlook will upload pics and vids? Dying to see them and the bbc video of DMZ..

Was sick.

Tectonic boat was fucking quality.

Deep Medi boat was a huge disapointment. The music was heavy (as expected), but the crowd was subdued. The queing system was a piss take, no1 wanted to go downstairs to get more beer cause would have meant a half hour wait to come back up, on the last night of the festival alcohol is needed! Think most people on the boat felt the same, the fact it was an hour late didnt help matters either.

Not sure if i rate this one higher than last year, i kind of liked the smaller vibes of last year, plus the cues to get into the arenas (eg the DMZ night) were stupid, luckily i didnt get caught up in any but i know a lot of people did. Also, was not about the dust at all, coughed up loads of black shit every morning and on the sunday morning, coughed up blood. Not a good look.

All in all fucking quality as expected. Best sets for me: Distance, Kryptic Minds, Spectrasoul, Commix, DMZ, The Bug and Flowdan, Distance & Cyrus on the tectonic boat, Silkie on the Deep Medi Boat, Tunnidge on the Deep Medi boat, Kromestar, could go on really...

Except the bit where people got told to queue downstairs.
That was it for me really. The sound was good, but the queue and limits ruined the vibes for me. You were lucky in your guest area. They should have refunded oversold tickets the moment they found out. Or offered people tickets on alternative boats. And the most popular boat getting accidentally oversold? I'd best get on my tinfoil hat.

*RANT ALERT*
Also, I ended up surrounded by fucking numpties most of the time I was upstairs. Almost got shoved off the side of the boat when this silly little bint charged to the front and shoved me aside just as the boat rocked and I was in mid-hop. If I'd been sweatier, my glasses would definitely have flown off the boat. Then there was this annoying drunken bitch who was chatting at the top of her fucking voice (I was wearing earplugs AND right next to the sub and could still hear her) and kept gesticulating wildly and poking and elbowing me in the back for a good 15 minutes at least. Even after I'd grabbed her hands and told her to stop. Then there was this fucking idiot who kept jumping (badly) on to and off of the sub VIA THE FUCKING TRASH CAN FULL OF EMPTY CANS and kept knocking it into me. Then there was the idiot who kept fucking barking. He finally stopped after me and the guy next to me gave him several evil glares. Then there was the idiot girl who tried to get to her friend via the other side of the sub, ie off the side off the fucking boat, because she thought there was a passageway. Who proceeded to shout at me when I tried to stop her. Although to be fair she did apologise once she realised she would've fallen off the bloody boat. For the first time in recent memory I actually couldn't wait to leave a party.
:u: :u: :u:
*RANT END*

It was like an entire weekend's worth of fucking idiots compressed into 3 hours on a tiny floorspace no more than 1 metre across. On the plus side, I did manage to avoid idiots the rest of the time I was there.

Sorry to hear about your troubles..

P.s. It wasn't a guest area on the boat, just a bit for people to chill with two leather sofas and some wooden benches. But just like most raves, everyone wants to be at the front.

Nah no bother, the rest of the festival was good. Got off the boat and had a good time after.

Did Jack Sparrow play on Sunday? I was looking forward to his set but there was a queue when I got there, and I wasn't in the mood for another queue.

Damn Damn Damn, what a friggin festival! Just got home and i enjoyed it from the moment it started till it ended at sunday at 6'oclock at the courtyard OUT-LOOOOK!

At first i was a bit scared that we wouldnt be able to get hold of some greens, but it turned out very well in the end, got to know a croatian contact and bought 15 gr in total!
Karma was also on our side the whooole festival, always smoked in the fort and on the camping, u just had to get in the crowd, look around and be carefull..
That croatian contact got caught with rolling a joint, they took him to jail for one night and then he could return, now he just has to face court and he'll probably wont even get a fine..
Even had a belgium geezer that winded up in jail one night and next morning was his birthday.. really must've sucked for that dude ..

Highlights for me were Kromestar (such a nice opening set of the festival), mungo's hifi (omg they're sets and they're soundsystem, off the HOOK!), iration steppas (must be one of best dub sets i've heard, along with Kanka..),Distance and Headhunter, one of best sets i heard!! Goli and Ashburner, Alix Perez, Break, Southbound Hangers in the Dungeon was sick, True Tiger vs Vagabondz was by far the best boat party i think, amazing ppl, vibes and music! Kept talking about it to everyone how the boat was almost capsizing, so ppl had to go down to keep the balance, the captain even disconnected the power at one point to get people down, cause he couldnt control the boat :D, DJ FU (and they're mc's), saw them twice, was fucking rinsin, Steppa & Kitcha , Skream + Hatcha!!, Marksman

Had to miss the whole DMZ night, cause of the queue, that was really harsh to me, but i was on the deep medi boat too, and i enjoyed that sooooo much, those sets were so beautifull..
I hope they dont let any more ppl come to croatia next year, cause during the last two days the queuing system was tooo much, really didnt expect that.

Another thing i had to miss out was The Bug ft Flowdan, but i heard a bit of it during queuing the main arena to enter the arena when hatcha started.

Was nice to speak to cyrus and Boyson for a bit! Really wanted to see darkside but had to miss him cause we just came off the boat, oh well hope we'll have a chat next year!

On saturday the festival really began to wear off on me, but on sunday after the deep medi boat i really got some energy out of the sets i've heard that night, i partied till morning..
Most amazing set that sundaynight was on main arena after Chef + LD, it started raining at one point so some ppl began to leave, but most stayed, then the dj turned up the music really loud and it even started to rain heavier, at that point everybody went crazy on the big tunes, including myself, that was best experience of festival for me..

I can only conclude one thing out of this festival, I LOVE DUBSTEP!

And i really cant wait another year to get back to croatia!

Oh, and out to the Aberdeen crew which we've met over there and stayed with us during the whole festival, was amazing guys, was a good idea to pick up Jammy in Stuttgart!

And lets not forget the wonderfull beach parties in the afternoon, good music, beautifull girls :o , amazing atmosphere!

No it was RSD. He couldn't make it.

RSD killed it though.
