I think its because its still so new, and theres different infulences coming from everywhere it will take a good few years for it to split like the jump up vs liquid thing of dnb cos it all still works together.

you have electro producers like jackbeats getting the bug too remixing wheres my money,
Skream remixing for hot chip,

and then you got the deeper stuff, the more musical side of things, the jump up flavas, the hip hop stuff, teh almost rock based stuff its all going on,

i think its because you have this new genre thats still really finding its feet theirs no distinct dubstep sound anymore, sure the wobble is a key element of dubstep from the start but some people are going against that now.

the thing with dubstep is you hear it and you wanna get involved and its easier to make (sorry) but only becasue you have that freedom, theirs no ristrictions to what you can do, i think it was dz that said something like "as long as you got the big sub bass and a big snare" your on to it.

when peeps start writing "this is how you make dubstep" and "thats not dubstep" that will kill it, but until then i personally love the variety and think that i have a wider musical horizon because of it.

im just goin on now but yeha you get my point, i lvoe that theres so many different styles and in my eyes this variety is what makes it so good to lsiten to so you can still listen to it all the time but not get bored of hearing the same old thing.

p.s. Check www.afterdarkradio.info today 2-4pm for myself (playing across the full spectrum of dubstep) no harm in a blatant plug :D :D
