job hunting NYC

Post by pato banton » Sat Sep 11, 2010 12:33 pm

Yo...

Just moved back here from Colorado for 2 months, staying on my parents couch for the mud-season, can anyone help a brother in need? Bit of a long shot, just thought someone on here might have an idea. Would love to be a bartender NYC, they literally shower you with money over here...

Could anyone put me in touch with flyer distribution? Got a lot of time on my hands...peace.

thanks in advance

- Best way to get a job is through someone you know. Be sure to exaust all leads through your family and freinds in NYC.

- If you don't know anyone, then think of it as a #s game. The more employees a business has, the better your odds of finding an open spot. You don't have much chance of finding a job @ a small shop where they might only have 3 employees.

- Its all about attitude. Make sure you apply @ places that you would enjoy working at. Your attitude will be more enthusiastic, and you'll perform better. You'll be more appealing to the employer. It doesnt matter how good your skills are if your attitude sucks. Trust me.

Good luck !
