Fair play to those, who have deserves the comments, they are legit, the artist would mostly know the commenter's. However, there are some bullshit (excuse my lag) songs on soundcloud with 10000+ views, 1000000+ comments, which of most are " SICKKKKKKKKKK BLUD" "diz shit is so filthy... (then something about their grandmum)

Is there really a need for this fake bullshit ? What are you trying to prove with your zillion views and fake comments? Do you actually know any of your commenter's... ? By having lots and lots of comments on your songs what you trying to say? This song is better then another song with 0 comments ? And these songs are so badly produced and engineered it unbelievable

Get of soundcloud the fakes waste's, go do something productive instead. Keep the comments and feedback real man, not just fake feedback, so you can get zillons comment on your songs...
Why exactly do you care ? I can't figure it out...

well heres the good news. These idiots who are talentless and spamming for mass comments are going to inflate their ego so much that they think their music is good even if its complete shit. They might get some minor success but, really they are hurting themselves IMO by getting so much fake feedback from ppl who cant tell dirt from gold.

Hate to break it to you, but being an egocentric asshole with a false sense of how good your music is is far more likely to help you succeed than being modest. Just a sad fact of life.

@kaiori breathe +10

@BassDNB- Isn't it more fucked up to post your songs on soundcloud, under the assumption that everyones gonna go out of their way to find it? Plus comments that are fake, and often quite distinguishable, still have the benefit of telling you that the person listened. You can then go to their profile listen, comment, whatever, yet still learn a lot about the people who took the time to comment like their personality, demographics, and geographic area. That's just finding your audience 101.
@Wartorn- When someone sends out 3,750 private tracks I'm pretty sure they don't care about your opinion, until you listen. If they get even one person to listen, they've won. I personally don't do the spamming thing, because I have more fucked up methods, which some will know, but I'm not gonna hate on people that do spam. The reason for this is that my e-mail is full of dvd, viagra, employment, etcetera, etcetera spam. I'd much rather get spam for something I'm interested in like music.

P.S.
If there's one gem I'll share here it's this, I treat life and everything in it like a game. It has nothing to do with winning or losing, or good vs evil, yet it has everything to do with just being on the field. If I weren't interested in peoples opinions, I wouldn't be here, or on soundcloud.

uh thats definitely not a fact but an opinion, and yours at that. Name one super successful person who you think has no talent at all who got famous through mass spamming. I might hate tila tequilas music, but she still has a good voice and isnt tune deaf.

How is posting your music on soundcloud fucked up? I dont see any logic in that. People who dont have talent and have not developed any real music skill who spam to get a lot of views/listens are shooting their own foot is what im saying. Talent + Exposure = success right? not just talent and no exposure or exposure and no talent. It wont matter what your fanbase is because if your music is shit its not going to sell at the end of the day, no matter how many fake fans gave you the false impression that your god.

@BassDNB- I wasn't implying that putting your tune on soundcloud is fucked up. I was saying that putting your tunes on there and expecting people to find it is the fucked part. Riddle me this though, how can you even quantify the difference between shit and "gold?" Who are you to distinguish talent, or the appropriate level of exposure?

I have only gotten 2 pieces of spam, one was from a label or something, they werent a big label and the music on their page was pretty weak. they said they were interested in doing a deal, so I messaged them back and they didnt respond, I dont know if that was spam or what I dont get why a label would express interest then not reply to my reply, maybe after a second listen they were like "wait this shit sucks what was I think!" hahah who knows. But yeah I don't get spam and every comment I have gotten has seemed pretty genuine. Do people just comment so that people will see their comment and click on them or what?

Also the idea that because ur following someone they should follow u back is kinda silly.

soundcloud while a cool concept seems to have gone the way of most social networking sites where it's about who has the most followers or is following the most people, who has the most comments etc and people being as surgical with trying to get the proper people/labels to hear their music as opening an envelope with a shotgun

honestly i wouldn't be surprised if people were using common techniques like on youtube for fake views/comments to pump up their page stats etc like emtee edan did and hell look at them now, release forthcoming on breakbeat kaos

just goes to show that now it's not even so much about who you know, it's more about e-marketing and perceived status rather than actual substance and quality which is a damn shame

Bwahahaha,

Whilst reading through this I was thinking of Cottonmouth, until someone mentioned it!

I just got this from him:
Hope all is cool? New tune up forthcoming on BomBeatz in October. If you get a sec have a listen and leave your thought mate.

Peace & Thanks!!!

Olly
