Laptop DJ's, traktor question.

Post by Astral » Sat Sep 18, 2010 1:59 am

Just a little thing I was wondering, is it possible to map a value for something that only works when two modifer requirements are met?

My example with my hercules controller.

Mid High Low knobs, which with scratch held down would become filter controls.

Possible?

Are you saying like changing the filter control, or just making new types of mapping?

Mapping, that requires 2 buttons to be held down.

For example

A1 = High
A2 = Mid
A3 = Low

What I want is

A1 + Other button = Filter cutoff.

Yes, that is possible. I have a "shift" button in the mapping I use for my VCI-100; essentially, whenever I hold down the shift button, any other button I press will have a different function. However, I couldn't tell you how to do this myself, since I did not create my own mapping.

I'd check out djtechtools.com and their forums, because they are Traktor enthusiasts and they're the ones who created the mapping I use.

Just use a modifier. Why do you need 2 buttons to be held down? isnt it just the modifier button (whatever you assign that to) pressed? Unless you mean using the high killswitch for a filter on/off button whilst in modifer=1 mode?
