@ Dead ed:

I think you've got a very nice idea behind the first track. Maybe its because of my lousy speakers but Im having trouble hearing the melody, it could be a little bit louder in the mix I think. What I personally would have done is that I would have introduced a second synthsound playing the same melody when the beat gets started for real, Introduced a subish bassline (may be layered with a sampled bassguitar quite low in the mix, nnxt's hofner pick is one of my favs).
I would then be toying with how I could continue the tune from 1:14 and on, either I could go on with a layed back tune (I would probably get inspired from Phaeleh http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=myH06-ePu8Q) adding some stabs and/or some chords with the occasional incidents of a sampled vocalhook totally drenched in reverb... or I could let the whole thing explode in wobblefilthiness (a'la datsik: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GFsZQGx7aoc - crank up the volume and wait for it at 0:55)...

I would also toy a little bit with layering the drumsounds, especally with the snare - I would add a clap/woodblock or a rimshoot. And I would steady the beat from 1:14 on to a more simple kick on 1 - snare on three and then let some hihats keep up the interest of the beat, especially if I would go for the filthy direction, or for the layed back direction I woud experiment whith ghostsnares and stuff like that... btw, have you clicked on the "swing"button in redrum?

Anyway, this is more about making music than handling reason, so sorry if I miss the spot a bit.

@tripwire22
proper sub bass and drum eq.. no mix complaints. sequence may need something else like maybe the pad changes octave or sumthing jus my two cents!! :) good mix tho imo

@kaiori breathe
wow.. this came in and the clarity is amazing... dont kno if thats a delay effect on the mid wabble but its perfect placement.. needs a BASSLINE.. nothing over the top jus more of a foundation... a vocalist on top of all that would sound very soothing too!

@mars
dam bruv... grimey bassline... that is on lock forsure, add some more musical elements to compliment the track and maybe drop elements in/out... good syncopation aswell

@kikaruu
the wabble sounds very mid heavy and lacks the sub80 hz for an effective bassline.. also i cannot follow the drum sequencing especially in the kick... i would not say this is done jus because of your mix under 1k... very muddy

@blazinaidan
sounding like some real potential... eq that bitch and fatten it up maybe run thru bit crusher!

@emm
very good structure! i think the gain structure might need to be adjusted as i can hear distortion in your low end and also some frequencies would be alot better off cut or subtracted

New WIP trying to drop this on a soundsystem friday so let me know what u think of the mix!!

@ Wabble

Thanks mate! I'll look into it... The distorsion I have noticed but Im a little bit weary of that since (som of it at least) adds a dimension to the overall sound... But 'ill just have to let i t rest for a week and listen to it again...
Anyway, I appreciate youre input.

@broxamson

Really like it. You've nicely dug out som elements of reggae/dub and made something fun and twisted out of them - kind of like a restrained Zappa. One thing though, I think that when you let the bubbleorgan play on its own between the wobbly parts it sounds to me a little thin. I would experiment with putting a hammondish pad in the back of the mix following the chord progression so as to add a little body and cohesion to it and to underline the melody of the chord progression of the organ. Offcourse that might not at all be in line with what you aim for, but thats what I thought listening to it.

krave: nice build up, i like the atmosphere alot! solid tune!
wabble: solid snare! maybe just turn it down a tab bit tho! other than that pretty good, some sick sounds :p i like
emm: I'm not really into ambient stuff but I like the percussion :p good tune tho
kaiori breathe: man that tune is awesome dogg! the intro is awesome, nvm fuck that! the whole thing is awesome! finish it! :D
ninthy4: after 0:56-57 it's sick, you could do a little more sound sculpting to touch it up though :P good work though sounds good

thanks for all the positive feedback guys :P
alrighty heres mine :p i changed some stuff to go in a completely different direction to stay on track :mrgreen: anyways I think someone may be dropping it in like 2-3 weeks, any recommendations so it will sound decent on a system at a rave? as long as the mix sounds fine it won't be too bass heavy or lacking bass right?

@krave - sounds good, but 75% of it is ripped off of zedd - the anthem (luckydate rmx)

@wobbafet - sounds good man. cool drop -i like the atmosphere and the levels seem good to me. maybe make the bass wobble stand out more? thats just my personal opinion though.

@oggunslinger - I like this it sounds funky. solid second drop but you need and intro/buildup

haha there's no wobble in the bass... just pure sine. you hear what you wanna hear! :) i was actually tinkin' of throwing some lfo on the volume though. might be a cool idea.

@universeofenergy - i like your melodies and instruments, but the wobbles are pretty generic sounding as far as tone and rhythm. i'm not so much into the white noise, either, but the drop is real cool and the synths are sharp as tacks.

@ universeofenergy. Love that intro on it. Not fond of the drop, sounds bit muddy, needs beefing up bit more. Random little melody going on lol!!!
@ wobbafet. Really digging this dude, nice vibes behind it. I reckon the bass could be a little louder, personal preference i guess too, needs bit more backround too it!
@ ogunslinger. Cool sounds dude. quite liking it!!
@ krave. Not really into this type of stuff. But that's fucking cool man. Loving the atmosphereic begging thats tops.
@ emm. Liking dude, nice n relaxing. I'm not a fan of that synth, little melody you have there. Just me though :D

Something new I started. Fairly short, but getting there :)

@Universeofenergy
Good ideas your intro was very short and I feel like you chucked everything at me, could have teased me a bit.

@Wobbafet
Sweet intro, could have brought the drums in earlier, I got a bit lost. The beat drops nice, good drumwork.
To my ears the mix seemed well balanced. Didnt really get into the 'lush' bells & drums in the middle bit, it was nice but a bit too nice if you know what I mean? For my attention span this track needs a few more changes.

@Bradicle Nice just up my alley! I like the way it comes in. To me the distortion tracks are way to middy. Have you got a sub riding that phrase?

@ninthy4 -- Excellent work man! The only input I would have is to give your drums a bit more room to breathe. They seem a bit buried?

@kaiori breathe -- Yet another brilliant soundscape. You've nailed your sound. Brilliant stuff....

@tripwire -- It's done as far as I'm concerned. Drums are sounding mint. That's badass.

@krave -- Very cool changes of pace and nice work on your mixdown. The end reminds me of some High Rankin tunes. Good shit!

@wobbafet -- Where are teh wobblez!!?! :6: On a serious note, nice drums, nice pads, the whole thing gels really well together. Proper proggy stuff. Personally I think your sub is mixed well. Perhaps the outro is a little long, but a DJ would like that sort of thing.

@bradicle -- Nicely done man, would love to see this one finished. Proper use of transitions which is something a lot of people get wrong. You're paying attention to details!

Anyway, here's a remix of a 3oh!3 tune I started a few days ago. Haven't got much in terms of arrangement, but I've laid a few bars down.

wabble - nice mixdown, bass is nice and gritty

tylerblue - thats just banging. snare is a bit too perky on the high ends but everything else is spot on.

bradicle - filhy tune but seems a bit 'in your face', liking the synths on the intros too and the second drop is dirty!

Soundcloud needs mastering properly but this is what's there so far.

@Hakka: Fucking hell, badman drop! That will sound huge when done.

@Krave: Nice sounds on that but the mix sounds muddy, no doubt you'll work on that. Interesting sounds though liking it.

@Tripwire: Love the sub on that, dope sounds man, dig it a lot.

@ Jaydot - Cheers mate, gunna get it finished in the next few days. Your Tune, i was expecting a garage drop for some reason! Nice layout and drums are crisp, riff is tidy, bit more fx and drop the high end on the bass. Sounds a little distorted. Nice tidy tune. Your other stuff is nice aswell, making some big beats :wink:

Cheers yeah there's no EQIng been done on the bass atm it is very fuzzy you're right. Gonna cut those highs and see how it goes, add a little fx and maybe some more percs.

Your tunes are sick man, digging both those in your signature.
