Tracks to mix from techno to dubstep?

Post by dj_ug » Mon Sep 27, 2010 2:04 pm

hi, i'm fairly new to the whole mixing/dj business, so can anyone recommend tracks that i could use to mix relatively smoothely from a berlin-style minimal techno set to dubstep rhythms? up until now i had about a couple of ideas:

and

any other suggestions would be great. something along the lines of sparse 4x4 beats that i could use to gradually speed up from 128-ish bpm to 140.

This just in: slow & heavy dubstep. A work-in-progress, so if you can, please provide feedback. Listen up!

much thanks for the recommendations...i have the new pariah EP. really good stuff...hadnt thought about the slump in those terms, but now it is starting to make sense :D and in that way i guess a lot of mala (left leg out, don't let me go) and scuba (tense, klinik) could also work similarly.

also, have to get a hold of the new shed album. that is some proper dark, deep shit.

cheers!

Scuba tunes are usually nice and techno-ish (check out his Hotflush releases like "Plate" or "Timba").
