you need to get yourself a DAW, just try some demos and go with what you like.

if you don't want to spend any money right now, you could check reaper. it has a unlimited demo, and is about £50 to buy.

list of DAW's

* Ableton Live
* ACID Pro
* Cakewalk Sonar
* Digital Performer
* FL Studio
* Reason
* REAPER
* Renoise
* Cubase

Hahahaha, yeah trackers are a bit of a mindfuck if you're used to the horizontal way of working :P

Basically OP it all depends on how your head works... Certain people find certain workflows to be more effective at getting their ideas translated from their head to their computer so just find the sequencer that's right for you :) Isn't always the easiest of processes especially if you're not that experienced at the whole computer music thing, but once that's down and you get some basic understanding of synthesis and production then you're good to go :D

Fret not my friend. Just copy the basic url of the track into your post/sig then highlight it and click the soundcloud button up top.

The code should look like so

[soundcloud]http://soundcloud.com/willg2/001-1[/soundcloud ]

I put a space between the last soundcloud and the close bracket to stop it from showing up but write it without that and your golden.

:)

But also make sure you post it in the feedback thread up top, don't make new threads just to show off your tracks because people (including me lol) will get pissed at you. It keeps the forum tidy to have all the finished tracks and works in progress in the threads up the top there and don't forget to leave feedback for other people first! It will make everyone a lot more willing to give you some in return and it's just good etiquette.
