You can pick up Smith & Mighty's DJ Kicks mix album pretty cheap too......it too is kick ass of course.

Well this conversation is getting old now, but in my opinion the Smith & Mighty tracks sound more Dub to me than Dubstep. I think Mad Professor was way earlier in that kind of tunes that you highlighted.

However, I think that Mr Oizo in around 1996 came up with the 1st Dubstep tune ever, or at least something very close to the dubstep tunes we're all fond of at the moment.
