All the information you could possibly need is already on this board man. Just a 5 second glance around would have revealed that for you. All up there in the thread clearly labelled "Dubstep Production Tips & Tutorials Resource "
Seeings as I have shit all else to do though here's my PERSONAL opinion on what I PERSONALLY use. It may be different for you, you gotta find what works best to suit your style.
But yeah, Novation Nocturn keyboards are the tits/ Samson Rubicon monitors, very crisp sound
software wise download 'Audacity' for free, I rate Reason, Ableton, Reaper and Logic. Look them up.
When you start trying demos and finding your feet then don't be afraid to come back here to find the answers but the odds are whatever your problem is a million people have asked it before so use the SEARCH function first
and then if your sure there isn't any information that can help start a new thread and we will do the best we can
P.S. When you get a bit further down the line you will need to read THIS thread
http://www.dubstepforum.com/this-thread ... 74832.html
OVER AND OVER AGAIN, I cannot stress enough how important this thread will be to you if your serious about learning to produce:

In all seriousness, if you're completely new to producing, Reason's a good place to start. Everyone has shit to talk about something here, but it's what I started on, and it was the least intimidating to me. The interface is friendly when you don't exactly know what you're doing, but allows tweaking of everything like a motherfucker, as well as the fact that you can later rewire it into your favorite DAW.

Totally agree with this. Reason is great because it has all you need in one package and when your ready to take your mixdowns to the next level, it is too. It loves to be rewired reason does and it doesn't care which program it beds, the filthy bitch.DJ Crackle wrote:In all seriousness, if you're completely new to producing, Reason's a good place to start. personally i hate everything about Ableton Live for making tunes. it's good on stage, actually it's the only option, but in the studio.... no thanks.
for me it's all about Reason + Record and Pro Tools.

Not only option. Heard of tim exile? Still ableton is my go to option thought for live performance, but don't rule out everything else...DJ Crackle wrote:AJGR wrote:it's good on stage, actually it's the only option
