PRS question/registering works/remixes

Can anyone help me out here??

When you register a work with the PRS it asks if there is an "alternative name" below where you put the title of the track, my question is do you put the details of the remix in there or would you have to register the remix as a completely different work???

Unless pre agreed with artist/label I didn't think you could register remixes as your own works because technically they arn't. Or that's what I was led to believe anyways.
