Post by deadly_habit » Wed Oct 06, 2010 5:40 pm

with settings like foobar2000s? seriously the ones i have now seem to pale in comparison as to how simple yet effective the one built into foobar is :?

Chase & Status talk about the Elemental Audio Inspector XL in this video, they say it's the best spectrum analyzer out there. I use it as well, it's really accurate. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYMC57ldgE4
If you're strapped for cash I've heard SPAN from VOXENGO is a good option too :)

I just use span. I'd be into checking out some recommendations tho.

the inpector xl pack really is pretty good as a whole, they have a free version called just inspector here (unfortunately it doesn't have the 1/3 oct
vertex dsp multiinspector is another sick one which allows multiple inputs and shows them in the analyzer in diff colors so you can hone in on those trouble freqs, they also have a free version as well here

i'm just really looking for something in bar format that can be resized and has multi bar resolution options like foobar with lil to no frills

this is what the bottom of my foobar setup looks like

i'm not sure how foobars analyzer looks, but i like SPAN (kinda prefer v1 to v2) and this pretty simple one called Spectrum Analyzer.

Deadly, I feel the same way, and I hate Parametric EQ 2 in Fruity. Lemme know which one you decide on man, I could use one of these as well!

well i mean i used to be a die hard span user till 2 came out
then bought the roger nichols inspector xl pack for more than just the spectrum analyzer and still tend to use that in 1/3 oct mode quite a bit
i really like multiinspector free as well and am debating snagging the full fledged version in the future
i'm really starting to wonder if it may be possible just to somehow backwards route into foobar

in case anyone is wondering what i'm doing i'm trying to come up with some low resource no real frill metering and analyzing tools for a project i'm brainstorming
