Under 23s only?

Just got latest mailout from Rinse FM and saw a club night promoted where it was Over 23s Only with possible ID required? The latter part's nothing unusual but when did promoters start excluding 18-23 year olds?

I'm well above the threshold myself and don't even live in London, just wondering if there's been probs with yoof dem at recent nights?

They're mainly house nights I think, which frankly, I wouldn't go to even if they would let me in. I like the music and the DJs, but it's just not the vibe for me, I like those smokey, head down, dark room kinda raves. Not dressing up smart to dance to house all night. It's a different crowd. That's how I see it anyway.
