Adam A3X versus KRK RP8 G2 ?

Post by Hellomadame » Sun Oct 10, 2010 4:13 pm

Heyp guys !

I'm getting my first set of studio monitors today and kind of wanted your point of vue between the two brand of monitors that was suggested to me. They told me the Adam A3X had a great detail of the midrange and high frequencies which is what I'm the most bugged with when I'm mixing but doesn't really offer any type of low end (stops at like 60hz). On the other side the KRK RP8 gives more bass response like 45hz like they say on the specs. My question is when comparing the two does the KRK gives the same midrange/high end clarity ? What's your point on the question :).

Probably not, but a 3" woofer is REALLY SMALL and I'd really be missing the bass response. I'm not sure I believe that they're flat down to 60hz. I'd go with the RP8s if it were me.
