What started out as the follow up single to BD1982’s debut album “Lets Talk Math,” grew into its own EP chock full tropical heat, taking unique interpretations of UK funky, dubstep and street bass all fused together for your ears!
The dynamic beat work out “Trails” was the epic closing song on the “Lets Talk Math” LP and its backed up here with 2 exclusive new tracks. “Magnets On My Back” is a trippy excursion onto a space age dancefloor while “Whoa!” is thick dubstep with a carnival of twists n’ turns.
London’s Jam City has been making waves with his FACT mix and releases on Night Slugs, here he turns out an acid house meets UK funky remix thats sure to blast out the clubs. Straight unrelenting fire is what comes from Japan’s Gunhead, as he takes “Trails” in a direction that will command yer ass to dance. Hailing from the Pine Barrens of NJ, Cloud People bring their uniquely dubbed out EDM flavor. To keep the heat on high a lil longer, we’ve got remixes of the song “Lets Talk Math.” The first is the debut release from Japan’s Makumba Sound, the new duo of 100Mado and BD1982 (look for a Makumba Sound EP on Seclusiasis soon). Taking the original and make it even more of a tribal club thumper. Closing it out, UK’s Brey dubs it up and makes ya head swirl.
BD1982, aka Brian Durr, is a producer/DJ who has an ever evolving sound thats rooted in organic tones and textures colliding with off-center dance structures. Currently residing in Japan, Brian has done tenures in Philadelphia and New York. While living in the U.S., BD1982 began working with Starkey and Dev79's Seclusiasis crew and has had tracks on the acclaimed Street Bass Anthems mixtapes as well his own "The Bigfoot" EP in 2007 and “Let Talk Math” LP in 2010.
Starkey and Dev79’s Seclusiasis label has been presenting a unique view of bleeding edge urban electronic sounds. Forged in diversity and influenced by a variety of audio flavors, you'll see Seclusiasis run the gamut from dubstep to hip hop to electro-pop and more. 2010 has been on fire with Street Bass Anthems Vol. 4, Mestizo “Let It Spray,” Siyoung “Luv Hz,” Kastle “Better Off Alone” and Dev79 “Live N Die 4 The Street Bass”. Next up we’ve got Rotterdam newcomer Halp’s debut “Leek” with remixes from Doshy, Knight Riderz, and Coco Bryce.
