Housey stuff around the 100 BPM mark??

Post by fitz » Thu Oct 14, 2010 5:24 pm

Have heard some of this really slow house business lately and have been really into it, but I don't know that much of it, unfortunately. I'm not talking about dub techno or very deep, dubby house - love that as well, but this stuff is on a housier tip. Anyone got any suggestions? This track sums up what I'm after.......

This is decent enough as well:

105bpm lounge techno?
what is of value and wisdom for one man seems nonsense to another.

house 12" on 33RPM at around +6% should be around this mark too.
sounds great when playing very percussive or sample based house.
slowed down MCDE Raw Cuts #5 & 6 or that Martinez Dark Soul Dub remix of Hurt by M.Dear & Seth Troxler both sounds amaaaazing on 33
also that mr mageeka nmbrs 12", and coconuts by shortstuff (sounds like some dipset beat when slowed down) sound AWESOME on 33

experiment! (although all of these would probably sound disgustingly awful with CDJs or serato? not sure)

Wolf + Lamb
Nicolas Jaar

They tend to get down into the lower 100s

not if they just pitch down, maintaining pitch would sound disgusting

tilt shift is more hiphop imo

naked music, metro area, soulphiction, floating points are more around 110 but they're wicked

tornado wallace and jimmy edgar are really good too although we're rising the bpm a bit
