Can some of you that help or actually run a pirate station give me a PM I need some tips and info. I'm looking into the idea and have been reading a lot but i need some advice from people who are really in the know.

And yes I do know the Laws here in the states and know what I am up against. (Its actually not that bad in NYC)

there was a fantastic site around but it may have gone down. i'm looking for it. have you posted in the rinsefm forum? should be a lot of knowledge there.

what exactly do you want to know, I was involved in one a year or so ago here in Providence... now I'm on the board of a station trying to get the one and only Low Power FM frequency legally allowed in our state.

of course we stand little chance 'cause we are up against religious groups and an ivy league university who's lawyer is only the biggest communications lawyer in washington dc

our ffc laws are kind of stiff in comparison to the UK. i'd really think twice about trying to go fm, because you'd need a big ass transmitter to try and compete with all the big clearchannel fm stations in new york.

well years ago there was a www.y2kpirates.com that had some good info, but it was shut down for some reason. I have googled like crazy and have not found anything descent.

Anyone around who would like to share some knowledge speak up.
